Chapter 35

Anna's POV

     They just put my mom and dad on the fork contraptions and now they are hooking us up to the wires. To make it fair they are going to take us up at the same time for the sake of the bet. I had two more harnesses on that I normally do and that added some extra weight but it was nothing. The set got quiet and everyone knew about the bet and had bet on the person they wanted to win. When the bet was handled and everyone was wrote down on a board they brought us up. Whenever I go up I normally hold on to the wires until I am stable and then I let go. I was comfortable in the air and looked to the side of me and Grant and Stephan looked terrified.

Sam: How are you guys doing?

Anna: Good.

Stephan: I feel very uncomfortable right now.

Grant: Same.

Anna: Don't look down and hold onto your wires.

Stephan: Why don't you hold onto your wires?

Anna: I have been higher up than this and I'm comfortable.

Brandon: What she is saying is that she is braver then both of you and probably going to win.

Caity: Are you guys going to puke because if so a little heads up I don't want to be in the splash zone.

Grant: Haha so funny.

Stephan: This taking all my upper body strength to just stay upright.

Anna: Tighten your core and focus on staying straight. When you go down to be horizontal tighten your core again and lean up with you head.

Caity: If you look half as good as Anna then you are probably doing it right.

Sam: Okay Anna you rehearsed this scene right?

Anna: Yeah. We start with me kicking the door in and then I say something funny and hang out for the next thirty seconds while Grant and Stephan fly forward.

Stephan: We do what?

Anna: Relax. You are going to lean down and be horizontal then they will move your wires forward and when you get to the mark lean up with your head and sit still.

Sam: Okay were ready producer.

Producer: Action!

     I flew forward and busted down the doors then made a snarky comment and the Grant and Stephan flew past me.

Producer: Cut! That was great now we are going to shoot the scene where you do the flip and then land in the middle next to your parents.

     We finished practicing the scene and then I got to sit with my boyfriend until they finished the rest of the scene.

Jack: Hey.

Anna: Hey. I'm tired.

     I leaned on his shoulder and closed my eyes. I heard a flash from a camera and opened my eyes.

Anna: Hey!

Jack: You are cute.

Anna: And so are you.

Chyler: Stop being cute we are trying to practice!

     I leaned in to kiss him on the cheek and then leaned on his shoulder to sleep. I fell asleep on his shoulder and he woke me up to take off the harnesses I had on.

Jack: We are about ten minutes from boarding the bus again.

Anna: Okay.

     I got up and went to get the harnesses took off of me and then got on the bus. I was awake for the ride back to the hotel and when we got in the room I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning early and we went to set. I went to hair and makeup and no one else was there in the trailer.

Anna: Good morning Alex.

Alex: Morning. How are you feeling?

Anna: I'm tired, but good.

Alex: We are going to do your hair and makeup at the same time this morning because the wire guys need you to test harnesses for a stunt you are doing later.

Anna: Okay. 

     They put my hair into the double dutch braids and did my normal makeup. I was in there for about twenty minutes before Caity came in.

Caity: Your mom told me that you forgot this in your trailer this morning.

Anna: Thanks Caity.

Caity: I saw you and Jack being cute yesterday.

Anna: What do you want?

Alex: Caity do you have pics I want to see this.

Caity: Jack put them on instagram.

Alex: What does the caption say?

Caity: It says, "My favorite person to be on set with."

Alex: That is so cute. Okay Anna you are ready to go.

Anna: Thanks.

     I walked out of the trailer and was met by Stephan, Grant, and my mom going to hair and makeup.

Melissa: Hey did Caity give you the smoothie?

Anna: Yeah. I am late for wires bye.

Melissa's POV

Melissa: Bye. Love you.

Grant: What's that face?

Melissa: I'm worried about her.

Stephan: Why? She seems great.

Melissa: She is always sleeping. Last week she worked more than 40 hours and then she spends all her alone time doing homework. She never goes out with friends and is just a normal 13 year old. I don't think it has dawned on her that she is 14 today.

Grant: She doesn't know that it is her birthday?

Melissa: She is too busy she forgets that she can be a kid sometimes. I just feel like her childhood is being ripped away from her.

Stephan: Doesn't she have off when she is not in the fight scene today?

Melissa: No she is going to do green screen for Supergirl. I feel bad because the whole reason they are working her this hard is because of my pregnancy with the twins.

Stephan: Melissa do not feel bad for keeping those babies safe. That is something I will not let you do.

Melissa: I just feel like by me protecting the babies I wasn't protecting her.

Grant: Wait for her to come to you and until then watch her closely.

Melissa: Thanks for the help guys.

Stephan: As for her birthday I have an idea.

Grant: We're listening.
