Melissa's POV
Chris and Anna left earlier this morning to go to set and the big girls drove themselves to school. I was eating some breakfast when a very happy five-year-old bounced into the kitchen.
Melissa: Good morning love bug. How did you sleep?
Avery: Good morning mommy.
Melissa: Are you hungry for breakfast?
Avery: Yes.
Melissa: Do you want some cereal or I could heat up some pop tarts.
Avery: Pop tarts.
Melissa: Come here big girl.
I picked her up and placed her on my hip before giving her a kiss on the forehead. I took her to the pantry and she picked out the pop tarts she wanted. She decided on the strawberry ones just like Chris would. I took her over to the toaster and set her on the counter so she could put them in. I watched her open the package and put them in the toaster pushing down the button. I grabbed her a plate out and placed it by her on the counter. I went to grab some strawberries out of the fridge and a knife so I could cut them for her. I started to cut the stem's out and then put them on her plate. When her pop tarts popped up from the toaster I grabbed one and put it on her plate for her. She hopped off the counter and took her plate to the island so she could eat. I cut up some more strawberries to put in my oatmeal and then stood on the opposite side of the counter and we ate together. I enjoyed these moments in the morning when I got to just hang out with one of my girls and have some individual time just for them.
Melissa: What do you want to do today Avery?
Avery: Nothing.
Melissa: Nothing?
Avery: I want to do nothing.
Melissa: Okay what do we have to do first to do nothing.
Avery: Watch TV.
Melissa: What do you want to watch?
Avery: Caity.
Melissa: You want to watch Legends of Tomorrow.
Avery: Yeah I want to watch Caity.
Melissa: Okay.
I turned on the TV and put on her show before running upstairs and grabbing the twins from their morning nap. I put them in the swings and then made them some bottles so I could feed them. I sat down on the couch and fed the babies while watching the show with Avery. We watched a few episodes before she dosed off and fell asleep on the couch. I took this time to get the babies dressed and put them down for a nap in their swings also. I had an hour or two before all the girls would be up so I cleaned up the kitchen and prepped dinner for tonight. I got a call when I was loading the dish washer. I quickly picked it up so it wouldn't wake up the girls from their naps. It was just a call from my manager telling me about an event that Chris and I are going to in a week. I hung up and then went to do some other cleaning up till the kids woke up. I was boiling some water for lunch when I got a scream from a very hungry Phoenix. I walked over to her swing and picked her up so she would settle down a little. I quickly made two bottles and put one in the warmer for Phoenix. When it was done I fed her with one hand and then placed the other bottle for Lincoln in the warmer. While it was warming up I put Phoenix back in her swing and propped her bottle up I went to grab Lincoln's and then I did the same with hers. When they were both eating I checked the water and then went to sit by them while they ate. When they were finished I burped them both and then set them back in their swings so they could look around and play with the toys that hung from the swings. I went back to cooking lunch when Avery got up and helped me finish. We ate and then went outside to play. It was around three-thirty when the big girls and Chris all got home.
Melissa: How was your day?
Chris: Good. We didn't have much to shoot, but it was long takes.
Melissa: While the girls are outside we need to talk about our living situation in LA.
Chris: I think we should build a house.
Melissa: Chris how are we going to build when we live this far away.
Chris: We could buy some land and then just start. We are never going to find another house like this so let's just build it. My dad left me some land it is out of the city so we would have privacy.
Melissa: Okay. So we should create a dream list including everything we want or need.
Chris: Okay so what is on your dream list?
Melissa: A open layout, big kitchen, and our own space.
Chris: So a nice master which includes a bathroom and closet.
Melissa: Yes. What do you want?
Chris: A nice backyard with a pool and a great hangout space. 7 bedrooms and bathrooms so each kid has there own space.
Melissa: I think we have our list.
Chris: I will contact the team and see if they can get some layouts made up.
Melissa: Sounds like a plan.
