Chapter 5

Chris' POV
We just left the house and headed to breakfast. The paparazzi hasn't found us yet and we are glad. Avery is in my arms and I think we should get a stroller for her. She ways 50 pounds and she can't walk. We are getting in the city at this point and I turn to Melissa and ask her what was wrong this morning.
Chris: What has Anna all upset?
Melissa: All her tops she was going to wear were crop-tops and they showed her scare. She was afraid people were going to judge it. So I reasoned with her to wear the mesh and I think she will learn that she can't hide it forever. I mean her scare from her heart surgery is from the top of her chest to her belly button. Her scare from her tummy is just below that and she should be proud of that.
Chris: Your such a good mom you know that right?
Melissa: I do now. Thank you.
I kissed her and then I saw a flash. The paparazzi. I gave Avery to Melissa and made my way to the front of our group. I didn't want the paparazzi to get in their faces. Next thing we know they are swarming us. We just keep moving and we finally make it into the restaurant. When we sit down at our table outside we just ignore them. They kept asking questions and I could tell Mel was annoyed. She doesn't like all the lights on her. Avery was scared and crying. Melissa got up and took her to the bathroom to clean her up. We finally got them to go across the street and when Mel brought Avery back outside she was better and hiding in her moms shoulder.
Chris: One thing we want to ask you guys is if you wanted to change your last names. Instead of being the James girls you would be the Wood girls.
Alexa: Wait didn't you already send in the paperwork.
Melissa: We did but we haven't sent in the name paperwork yet and we didn't want to change your names without your permission.
Ashton: I would love to be a Wood. Yes I'm on board.
Alexa: Yes I would love to change mine to.
Anna: I don't know. What would it do to my career.
Melissa: Your name would change and instead of being Anna James you would be Anna Wood. That's all nothing else would change.
Anna: Okay I will do it.
Chris: How about you Avery? Do you want to be a Wood.
Avery: Yes!
Melissa: Yeah were all Wood now.
Anna: Wait I thought you were still Benoist?
Melissa: No. I changed my name the day of our wedding. The media just hasn't caught wind of it yet.
After we had brunch we headed back to the house and got in the car to go to set. Mel and I had to do a chemistry read with Anna and we didn't feel comfortable leaving the other girls home.
Anna's POV
We were all headed to set and I was excited. Today I was going to get to meet the directors and the crew. When we arrived at set we got out and went to moms trailer. Alexa and Ashton stayed with Farley and Drift and we went to go meet the directors. We had to take Avery with us because she was to little to stay with them. We went into this dark room and sat in the chairs at
The front of the room. Avery sat on dads lap and she was soon asleep. When we got done with the chemistry read I had one with Chyler and David. That was really fun and at the end of the day they told me I got the part. We had to shoot in less than a month so they got me fitted for my suit and that was insane. I play Kara and Mon-el's daughter who is 14 years old. They have teased me on the screen before, but I was not at the studio and I never met dad and mom before. When we were done with supergirl stuff we went to the store then went home.
