Chapter 50

Chris's POV

I made my way up the stairs and took a left into our room. Avery was sitting in the bed watching some TV when she saw me. I picked her up and placed kisses all over her face.

Chris: How was your day princess?

Avery: Good we played dodgeball in PE.

Chris: Did you kick the boys buts?

Avery: You know I did.

Chris: That's my girl.

I left her watching the TV and went to find my babies. I found one with Chyler and one with Katie. I grabbed them both from them and then took them outside with me to watch baseball. I had one in each of my arms while we were sitting on the huge sectional outside.

Melissa's POV

I was getting my hair and make up done when Chris brought me both babies.

Chris: I am going to go grab Ashton.

Melissa: It's fine. I got them.

I sat with them on my lap while I finished my hair and then when I was done I took them back to Chris who was drinking beers with the guys outside.

Chris's POV

I was watching baseball when Melissa came out with the twins.

Melissa: Your turn.

Chris: What. I did the last one.

Melissa: No I did it.

Chris: Did I mention how beautiful you look.

Melissa: Not going to happen it is your turn. Maybe you should teach Grant while you are at it.

Chris: I will spare him the pain.

Melissa: Have fun.

I grabbed them from Mel's hands and took them upstairs to change both of their diapers. 

Chris: How did your mommy manipulate me into this? I don't know how she does, but she is super mommy so I shouldn't be surprised. 

I picked her up off the changing table and grabbed Lincoln off the floor to take them outside. I sat down and Stephen asked me how that was.

Chris: I will spare you the details.

Carlos: Please do.

We were watching the end of the game when Anna and Jack walked through the back gate.

Anna: Quit whining we only did one mile.

Jack: One mile is one mile to many.

Anna: Come on I will grab us some water from inside.

Stephen: What did you do to her.

Jack: Nothing she just decided that we were going for a run.

Grant: Seems like you drew the short straw.

Anna: Here. Dad we are going to get ice cream I will be back before you guys leave.

Chris: Be careful.

Anna: I will and mom wanted me to tell you that Avery is ready to be tucked in.

Chris: Okay.

Brandon: Where are you going?

Chris: Bed time.

I went upstairs and tucked Avery in and then met Mel in the nursery.

Chris: Did they finish eating?

Mel: Yeah I will change Phoenix and you can change Lincoln.

I picked out white onesies for the girls and then we both changed the girls. Mel handed me the monitors that go on their foots and then we swaddled them and put them to bed.

Mel: I will go set up the monitors and then I need to get changed.

Chris: I am going to hair and makeup.

Melissa's POV

I went down to the living room and grabbed my dress then used the bathroom and put it on. I walked out and then went to change the TV to the setting that shows up the baby monitors. We had one in the nursery and in Avery's room so we could watch them. When I was sure that they were all asleep I went back to the kitchen to talk the girls.

LA: That's new.

Melissa: We had it installed so we could watch them from pretty much anywhere. 

Chyler: I wish they had that when my girls were little.

Melissa: It saves us so much time.

Candice: The are just starting the boys now.

Melissa: Well we are ahead of schedule so that is good.

Caity: I am ready to party.

Chyler: Yes please get me off that set.

We were talking when Anna came through the door.

Melissa: Where were you?

Anna: I went to get ice cream with Jack. I told dad.

Caity: Tell us all about it.

Anna: Goodnight guys have fun.

Melissa: Goodnight.

Chyler: She never tells us anything.

Nicole: It's annoying.

We continued talking when I got an alert from my phone about Lincoln's foot monitor. Her heart rate dropped enough and her oxygen levels dropped also. I took off up to her room and opened her door to wake her up. Chris met me in their room while I unwrapped her from the blanket and woke her up. Chris and I sat with her until her vitals went up and then we checked her sister as well. Chris and I wrapped her back up tightly turns out the blanket was over her mouth and that was causing her some trouble. Chris kissed my head before he went downstairs with me. When I got to the kitchen I grabbed a glass and filled it with some water before taking a deep breath.

Chyler: Are you okay?

Melissa: Yeah Lincoln's oxygen and heart rate dropped.

Caity: How did you know?

Melissa: They wear socks on their feet that monitor it all. If something happens it alerts us on our phones and watches.

LA: Definitely getting one of those.

Danielle: Is she okay?

Melissa: Yeah just a scare. She is fine. The boys are getting dressed and the photographer should be here soon.

Caity: Let's get this party started.

LA: I'm going to head out.

Melissa: You feeling okay?

LA: Yeah fine just tired. Growing a kid is hard.

Danielle: Get some sleep.

LA: Have fun.

Melissa: Thanks.
