Chapter 36

Anna's POV

I went to wires and got the harness situation figured out I went to the costume department and put on my suit. Then made my way to set. I walked in to them putting Grant and Stephan in wires. I slipped on the harnesses I had to wear and then they put me up in the air. I did the opening bit of the fight and then rushed off to the other set for Supergirl. I had green-screen till lunch and was finishing my last fight scene. I flew up did and aerial then landed and flew off of frame. I was getting some pointers from the director when the doors flew open and the whole DC team singing happy birthday.

Casts: Happy birthday dear Anna happy birthday to you.

They brought me down in the wires and then I made a wish and blew out the candles.

Melissa: Happy birthday baby girl.

Anna: Thanks.

I forgot it was my birthday today and was excited that my DC family remembered.

Anna: Okay let's eat some cake!

Casts: Yes!

I was handed the first piece of cake and shared it with Jack.

Jack: Happy birthday.

Anna: Thanks, bye the way I love you.

Jack: I love you too.

I leaned in to kiss him and his lips tasted like frosting. We finished eating our piece of cake and then we went back to the other room and finished shooting for the day. I was allowed to take a little time off before and Jack and I went on a date. We went back to the hotel, but before I went to hair and makeup to get my braids taken out.

Alex: So, Caity told me you are going on a date with Jack.

Anna: This is true.

Alex: Okay we are doing your hair and makeup for your date.

Anna: Okay, but I only have ten minutes.

Alex: I only need nine.

Alex and her team did my hair and makeup for my date. They put a really romantic face of makeup on me and they put my hair is a half up half down bun and left the front pieces out. I was about to leave when Sam from the costume department stormed in.

Sam: Okay I have a few options.

Anna: What?

Sam: For your date with Jack. We have a skirt and top, but I think this is better. She pulled out a beautiful mustard yellow dress. It was short and she had some amazing shoes. I put it on and then as I was about to leave they stopped me.

Sam: Hold on we need a picture of this look.

Anna: Why?

Sam: Because we do.

She let me go and the sun outside was falling as the moon was rising. My mom and dad stood outside the trailer waiting for me.

Chris: You look beautiful baby girl.

Melissa: He is right.

Anna: Thanks for the best birthday ever, but what about the scenes I was supposed to film?

Melissa: We have it covered.

They walked me to the front gate where Jack stood. He had a single sunflower in his hand and looked very handsome. We stood a little away from each other and kept looking at each other smiling.

Melissa: Have fun Anna.

My dad kissed me on the forehead and I walked towards Jack. He reached for my hand and I took it smiling.

Jack: You look beautiful.

Anna: Thanks.

Jack: Your dad talked to me before we left.

Anna: What did he say?

Jack: He told me to have you home by eleven and that I had his blessing to date his daughter.

Anna: I'm glad he approves. So where are we going?

Jack: Since we already had dinner I thought we could use some desert.

Anna: Please tell me we are getting ice cream.

Jack: Yes and then I wanted to take you to the lake bye the ice cream stand.

Anna: Sounds perfect.

We walked hand in hand to the ice cream stand. It was my favorite and they knew me there.

Mr. Rand: Hello Anna fancy seeing you hear.

Anna: Yeah I'm back for a week we are filming.

Mr. Rand: Come see me before you leave if you have time and I will get the regular.

Anna: Times two please.

Mr. Rand: Coming right up.

We got our ice cream and I told Mr. Rand bye and then we walked to the lake.

Anna: Thank you.

Jack: For what?

Anna: For everything. For always being by my side and understanding when I was really busy filming.

Jack: I would do it all again if I had too. I would for you everytime.

Anna: I know, but I have been a terrible girlfriend these last few weeks and you have been an amazing girlfriend.

Jack: I love you. I love that you think you are a terrible girlfriend because you are not. You saved me from the world that almost killed me and I love you for that.

I leaned in and kissed him. We pulled apart and rested our foreheads on each others. In that moment everything was perfect we didn't have anything stopping us or holding us back. He grabbed my hand and asked me where we should go next.

Jack: Where should we go next?

Anna: I could show you around.

Jack: Sounds perfect.

I took him to the first place that came to my mind.

Jack: Where are we?

Anna: This was my old house. You can see the handprints in the cement.

I bent down and brushed the dirt off of them. I placed my hand in-between my mothers and fathers.

Anna: This is my first birthday without my parents, and this is the last place that I was at with my parents. I guess it just brings back memories.
