Melissa's POV
We finished filming the crossover and are driving back to the house right now.
Melissa: Anna is out.
Chris: Good that means I can do this.
He leaned over and kissed me on the lips.
Melissa: I can't wait to see the kids.
Chris: I miss them too.
We pulled into the drive way and woke Anna up. We opened the door and walked into the living room.
Chris: Hey girls.
Avery: Daddy! Mommy!
Melissa: Hey little one and how are you guys?
Alexa: Good. We missed you guys.
Chris: We missed you too.
Melissa: Where are you sisters?
Ashton: Upstairs sleeping.
Alexa: Can we go out to eat tonight?
Avery: Yeah mom please?
I looked over to Chris and he looked on board.
Melissa: Okay, but first a nap.
Chris: Great idea.
Chris grabbed Avery and we all headed upstairs. I grabbed the twins from their nursery and brought them into our room. I placed them in their co-sleepers on either sides on the bed. I snuggled in with all my girls and got comfy. Avery was right beside me then Anna. Ashton was next to Anna and Alexa was to her right. The only person missing was Chris, but I was to tired to worry about him and fell asleep.
Chris's POV
I went down stairs to make some bottles for the babies and then went back upstairs. I found all my girls asleep together. They looked very cute so I took a picture and posted it on instagram captioning it "The loves of my life" I then put my phone down and grabbed Avery and put her on my chest so she wouldn't wake Melissa up. We slept for about two hours and then Melissa woke me up.
Melissa: Hey the babies need to eat.
Chris: The bottles are on the dresser.
Melissa: Okay I'll do it and then get them ready for dinner.
Chris: I will get the rest of them up and moving forward.
Melissa: Tell them to dress casual nice.
Chris: Okay.
Melissa's POV
I grabbed the babies from their bassinets and the bottles on the dresser and made my way to the nursery. When we got there I put the babies in their swings and propped their bottles up with blankets. While they were somewhat content I got matching outfits from their closets. The had white onesies with grey footed bottoms and a matching grey hat that had pompoms on the top. I grabbed 2 diapers and some wipes also from the closet. While they were finishing their bottles I packed the diaper bag and got the carseats ready. The babies still had multiple ounces left when Avery found me.
Avery: Mommy can you help me get dressed?
Melissa: Come here.
She handed me the outfit she picked out and I quickly got her dressed.
Melissa: Will you go ask one of you sisters to do your hair?
Avery: Yep.
The babies were done eating shortly after Avery left.
Melissa: Chris!
Chris: What!
Melissa: Come here!
Chris: What do you need?
Melissa: Can you get then dressed so I can go get dressed?
Chris: I have the dogs can you ask Alexa.
Melissa: Whatever I got it.
I grabbed both babies and put them on the floor before getting them dressed.
Avery: Mom no one will help me.
Melissa: Okay give me a second and then we can go do you hair.
Avery: No mommy I want it done now!
Melissa: Avery mommy only has two hands please be patient.
She threw herself on the floor and started throwing a fit. I quickly finished getting the babies dressed and then grabbed them and tried to reason with Avery.
Melissa: Avery come on lets go do your hair.
She continued to scream, this was not unusual behavior for her recently. Ever since we brought the babies home she was always throwing a tantrum anytime I told her to wait her turn.
Melissa: Chris!
Chris: Why is she still crying?
Melissa: Because I can't deal with two two-month olds and a crying five year old at the same time.
Chris: Avery come on.
Chris picked her up and she continued to kick and scream.
Melissa: Here give her to me. I got it go make sure the other girls are almost ready.
I walked out of there with a crying Avery in my arms and the twins. I put them all on the bed and grabbed the twins quickly and put them in the bassinets. I next grabbed Avery who was still screaming.
Melissa: Come on Avery please calm down. Shh, Shh.
She calmed down a little and I went into the bathroom and did her hair. I curled it so it would look like mine. I put on some cartoons in our bedroom and tried to get her entertained enough so that I could get ready. I put on a dress and some leggings before Lincoln started crying. I made my way into the room to pick up Lincoln and try to get her to calm down. She wasn't hungry she just wanted to be rocked and I needed both hands to finish getting dressed.
Melissa: Avery will you sit with Lincoln while I finished getting dressed?
Avery: No.
Melissa: Please Avery do it for me. I just need five minutes.
Avery: No!
She started screaming her eyes out again. I was trying to calm Lincoln and Avery down when Chris came flying into the room.
Chris: What did you do?
Melissa: What did I do? I was trying to take care of Phoenix, Lincoln, and Avery all at once while you took care of the dogs.
Chris: Come here Avery.
Chris scooped her up and took her out of the room and gave me a stink eye as he left. I calmed down Lincoln and shed a few tears as I did. Chris and I haven't been on a date since before we adopted the older girls. I was trying to finish getting ready when the door opened
