Chapter 49

Melissa's POV

Tonight Chris and I along with some of the CW cast mates from all the different shows are going to the Grammy's. Our crossover this year has been nominated for an award so we are going to get dressed up go to this huge party. The CW has decided that only people who are apart of the cast will be able to go. That means that there were no plus ones so they coupled up a lot of the cast. I was cleaning up my room and bathroom because that is were we are setting up shop for tonight. Everyone was going to start getting here around four-thirty to start getting ready so I have an hour and a half before the hair and makeup crew gets here. They are planning to have everyone ready in three hours taking two for the girls and one for the boys. We have pictures with the cast for a few minutes after that and then we were leaving for the party. Avery was at school along with Alexa and Ashton. They are going to be home around four so that they can get settled before the house gets crazy. Anna is not going tonight because she has to catch up on  homework and she just wanted to take a night off. She was going to be done around five-thirty so Chris was going to grab her and bring her home from work. I had the twins with me sleeping in their bassinets before the girls got here. I had just finished cleaning the bathroom and the kitchen when the hair and makeup crew got to the house. I let them in and showed them to the bathroom so they could start getting set up. The costume department showed up ten minutes later and brought in all the dresses and the tuxes on racks. They put them in the dining room and then went to talk with the hair and makeup team. While they were distracted I snuck into the twins room and grabbed outfits to change them in. I quickly changed their diapers and put them in new clothes before grabbing them and bringing them down stairs to put them in their swings. I had five minutes to grab a snack before all the girls showed up. One minute my house was pretty quiet and the next there were about forty females all in the bathroom, dining room, kitchen, and living room. I was talking to LA, Caity, Chyler, and Candice in the kitchen when the babies who were with Willa and Emily started crying.

Emily: What happened?

Willa: What did we do?

They were both holding them away from their bodies like they would puke on them at any second. I laughed at them and then reached into the fridge and grabbed the bottles out.

Emily: They are hungry.

Melissa: Yeah they should calm down when they get their bottles.

I picked them both up out of the bottle warmers and then handed them to Willa and Emily. 

Melissa: I will go grab some burp cloths.

I ran upstairs and grabbed two out of their bedroom and came downstairs and handed them to Willa and Emily.

They were quiet when they got their bottles and Willa and Emily went back to doing what they were doing.

Caity: Where are the other kiddos?

Melissa: Alexa, Ashton, and Avery should be home soon and Anna will be back when the boys are.

Chyler: Is Anna coming with us tonight?

Melissa: No she is going to have the night off and probably go out with Jack.

Candice: How is that going?

Melissa: I wouldn't know. I try to let them figure that stuff out by themselves.

Caity: She would never tell us.

LA: You're right about that.

All the girls had made a circle around the island and we were all talking about random things when Alexa, Avery, and Ashton walked through the door that attached to the garage. I excused myself from the conversation and went over to see what there plans were.

Melissa: Your dad and I are going to the Grammy's tonight so I am going to need you guys back here before we leave.

Ashton: I have a date with Oliver in an hour.

Alexa: I will be home, but I need to write this paper for my English class.

Melissa: We are leaving after bed time so it should be easy and Ashton your curfew is midnight.

Ashton: Okay. I'm going to go get ready.

Avery: Can I have a snack.

Melissa: Okay come on.

I grabbed her little hand and took her to the kitchen. I watched her pick out a granola bar from the pantry and then she caught eye of Caity.

Avery: Aunt Caity.

Caity: My favorite niece.

Caity picked Avery up and the girls all were asking Avery question when a new set of girls were called up. In that group was Caity, Katie, Emily, and Willa. 

Caity: Can I take her with me?

Melissa: Go ahead.

Emily and Willa handed the babies off to Chyler and Nicole and the ladies disappeared up the stairs. We continued talking about our shows and everything that was relevant to it. A new set of ladies had went upstairs when the boys came through the front door. They were already around fifty people in the house and we just doubled that number. Chris sought me out and came to say hello.

Chris: Anna is going out with Jack she said she would be back before we left.

Melissa: Okay.

Chris: Where are the babies and Avery?

Melissa: Avery is upstairs watching cartoons in our room and the babies are around here some where.

Chris: How are you?

Melissa: I'm fine, but you guys are early.

Chris: We can go watch football outside.

Melissa: Yes, but you should go see Avery and the babies first.

Chris: Got it.
