This OC and review mention themes of child abuse, if you're uncomfortable with any of the above, I suggest overlooking this review.

Fandom: Original Universe- *It is important to note that there are angels, demons, and monsters in this world, as that affects a few of the characters*
[ This will be noted. Consider the effect the presence of the angels/demons has or may have on religion.]
Back in the early days of humanity most humans were born with a gene that gave them the ability to manipulate the world around them (ex. Make plants grow or control existing plants, talk to and control animals, manipulate heat, etc.). Using these abilities, humans have become the dominant species they are now. However this gene was recessive, and the magic abilities got weaker with each generation, until the modern-day when no one has these abilities anymore.
[ Good integration of evolution and science with what is magical. This could be used to your advantage when thinking about your world's history. These ancestors could be the cause of many of the elements which come to create the land, such as rivers, hills, cliffs and so on. Perhaps, for example, The River Severn could have been 'created' by one these ancestors, way back when, rather than being formed by whatever it is that forms rivers. I clearly care not to remember. Of course, this is not limited to just rivers, you could take this idea and apply to many of the world's weird and wonderful locations and phenomena.]
Recently there have been cases of this gene in the new generation. The government decided to experiment on 6 of the children to see why this gene was re-emerging and to train the kids to use them as best as they can. The government changed the kids' names for confidentiality, and the kids' names now correspond with their abilities. Once the kids turned 18 the government gave them a home and a chance at a job. There was peace between magic and non-magic people for a while until there was a string of murders/attacks on non-magic folk, which were connected to someone with abilities. The six that were in the experiment team up to stop this menace.
[ I'm picking up on similarities between this and Umbrella Academy, I quite enjoyed that so I'm not disappointed thus far. If you're not familiar with the series definitely give it a watch.]
Full Name: Circe Price (Her name was originally Derora Bouchard, Derora is a traditional Jewish name and Bouchard is a common French-Canadian surname. The government changed her name to Circe, who was a Greek sorceress who turned men into beasts)
Nicknames: Rori, given to her when she first came to The Home (what the kids called the house they stayed in). It's just a shortened version of Derora. Little Beastie, given to her because of her powers (quick summary of her powers; she can summon monsters)
[ How does Circe feel about her name being changed? Does she like her new given name? How does she feel about her nicknames?]
Age: Between 18 and 19
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual. She also identifies as polyamorous and was in a relationship with two people, before the one realized he was gay. The two still have a good friendship.
[ I don't know where your universe is at, in regards to the acceptance of sexual and romantic orientations. If Circe's orientations aren't widely accepted consider how that may affect her.]
