Fandom: My own! It's a coming of age-ish kind of story set in some kind of magical boot camp. I'm trying my best to distance myself from Harry Potter lol.
[ Oh right, this sounds alright. As with any story where one group of people possess something which another group does not. Have a think about the implications of magic in the world. I don't want to bring it back to Harry Potter as you're trying to distance yourself for it but is magic socially accepted? Is there a separation with magic users and non-magic users? Are magic user's in hiding? Considered a threat? A gift from above? This also goes the same within the magical world, is there discrimination between lineages?]
Full name: Malcolm R. Marshall (haha it spells out mr marshall get it? yeah i'll go home)
Nicknames: None really. He's just been plain old Malcolm all his life.
[ Plain old Malcolm... in the middle... Yeh, sorry about that.]
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Species: Human
Nationality: American
Lineage: Commonborn (yes I know this is exactly like muggleborn I'm trying my best lmao)
[ Consider if the different lineages may have differing levels of magic or a natural taking to certain types of magic.]
Appearance: Malcolm is 5'8, ~140 lbs, so he's rather far on the skinny side. (Around 172 cm and say, 63 kg) He has fair to pale skin, and medium brown hair. Think, van dyke brown. His eyes are a similar brown color, with a dull sort of aspect to them. Other than the boot camp's strict uniforms and outfits for formal occasions, his wardrobe is rather limited to anything comfortable. You could usually find him in some variant of comfortable pants (jeans, sweatpants, the likes) with a slightly tacky sweater. He doesn't really shop for himself, especially considering clothing. He prefers to wear whatever his family has gotten him over the years instead of anything he could purchase. It feels comforting to him that even if he's not at home, there's a little piece of his parents in his closet at all times.
[ Yup, lovely.]
Health: Healthy. A-okay.
Personality: In a group, Malcolm tends to be the quietest. He's not the type to speak his mind about anything unless it directly concerns him, making him kind of fade into the background in social events. He doesn't directly mind this, as it gives him time to really think and keep to himself.
[ That gives him time to observe and act accordingly if the situation calls for it, nice.]
Usually, he's turned to as a simple shoulder to cry on when needed. Though he wishes he could be more than just emotional support, he would feel selfish to not offer his friends advice. He's very level headed, with the opposite of a short temper. A long temper? Whatever. Either way, Malcolm happens to be a side character in his own life. However, whenever he is directly involved in a problem, he won't rest until he solves it. Not wanting to bother his friends with asking for their help, he tends to keep everything to himself until it all builds up and volcanoes out of him in the form of lashing out and arguing. Whenever this does happen, he profusely apologizes for the behavior. Without friends Malcolm would just be that kind of introverted smart kid who people would talk about behind his back, but he just wouldn't be interesting enough for it.
