Fandom: Marvel, specifically Guardians of the Galaxy

Name: Vito Cornelius Garrus Davin Udonta

Name reasons: Vito is simply because his mother likes names that start with V's and it was the one closest to alien sounding that his parents could agree upon. Cornelius is the same name as his mother's grandfather who, in a way, was the reason his mother and father were able to meet in the first place. Garrus was the only name picked by his father, there's no significance to it except that his mother wanted his father to have some say in the name. Davin is similar to Cornelius, its the name of his mother's little brother who passed away very young (at the age of 12), it was her brother and sisters way of remembering him, all of Vito's cousins have Davin in their name too.

Nickname: V (Just because its short and simple to get out, Vito doesn't mind it and pretty much anyone can use it), Vi (was a nickname started by his mother so its a very special nickname to Vito, he typically doesn't want anyone but his mother to call him it but recently he's warmed up to his father, father's closest friends, and adopted older brother using it)

[ I love the name, it's great! Though I am partial to it because of 'Vito Cornelius' from Fifth Element and 'Garrus' from Mass Effect but also because the reasoning behind each name and nickname is explained wonderfully. Good job.]

Age: I use him to role play occasionally so it can range but canonically I made him 13 nearly 14 by Terran standards (technically, he'd be nearly 1 by Centaurian standards. I can't find the post right now, but Michael Rooker himself said that a year for a Centaurian is equivalent to 14 Terran ones)

Species: 1/3 Terran (human), 1/3 Centaurian, 1/3 Bathenlian

[ I'm not sure I've come across a Bathenlian before. I've searched the internet but nothing comes up, I even got my two big fat Marvel encyclopedia's out and found nothing in them, so perhaps a little explanation of what that is wouldn't go amiss. Other than that unknown, everything's fine.]

Gender: Male (he/him)

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Nationality: American (not that it holds much importance out in space)

Appearance: Depends. His father has a chip which he put on him as an infant so he'd be able to look more Terran. When the chip is activated, he has red hair and blue eyes like his mother, and his skin is white but looks like it always has a sun burn. When its off, his hair is still red but it's now the color of a Centaurian fin, his eyes are lavender, and his skin has a much more noticeable blue coloring to it, almost appearing as a sky blue. Height and weight don't differ on his appearance so he's about 5'0 in height and 113 lbs.

[ Great concept, I imagine he'd be quite pale with blue undertones in his skin. I may be thinking too deeply into this but is he actually sunburned or is it something his chip applies to his skin, maybe at a poor attempt to mask how pale he is? If he's genuinely sunburned in his true appearance how does it translate onto his blue skin? Darker blue sunburned skin? Hints of purple? As for his height and weight by our standards, he'd be classed as overweight for his height, but he ain't human so that's fine. Give a little thought to describing his facial features in addition to what you've currently got and you should be fine.]

Personality: Upon first meeting, Vito is extremely closed off, he does not deal trust out to strangers except when its socially appropriate to such as when first meeting a teacher at school. The more you get to know him and him you, the more relaxed he becomes and you'll find he's honestly a happy, joking kid. He gets very easily started by loud, sudden noises and actions making him very jumpy. Due to still being young, he doesn't control his emotions too well which causes him to come off more as a crybaby which causes complications on his father's ship where he is expected to be tough and essentially not cry at anything, he does try very hard to work on sucking up the tears. Vito will typically not yell since he himself doesn't like it (explained on down) but, following the fact of him still at the age where he's learning to control his emotions, he does get frustrated typically making him pout. Due to the environment on his father's ship, he's highly insecure based on more harsh opinions of others on the ship and thus tries to put up a tough guy act, unfortunately since he's smaller than all the hulking aliens aboard, not to mention weaker due to being younger and part Terran, and feels he still has to live up to their standard. He's a stubborn boy, who is unlikely to change his decisions and plans. He was raised to value family a lot so he does just that. Family is very important to him. Vito strives to make those around him proud of him, it is honestly hid biggest goal, hence why he's so willing to try and act all big and bad.
