Chapter Nineteen

(Gabrielle's POV)

As we pulled into Mikey's driveway, I smiled at how cute Mikey and Melinda were. I may not have known Melinda for all my life, and this may be our first time meeting in person, but I know her well enough to know she is an amazing girl, and honestly deserves the best. And honestly I think Mikey is it. Sure, they just met. And sure, they hardly really know each other. But, I know the love Melinda feels for Mikey, and because Melinda is so amazing, eventually Mikey will for it for her too. And then bam. Melkey will happen. As we exited the car, I went to the back to get my bag, but Mikey stopped me. "I've got your guys's bags, go inside. Gab, there's a surprise in there for you..." Mikey smirked. "Um, okay?" I looked at Melinda hoping to find some answers, but all I got in return was that same weird smirk. I looked at her curiously, and decided the only way to find out what was going on was to head inside. And so I did just that. To my surprise, standing right in the middle of the room was Vinny. Yes, Vinny Castronovo. My pace quickened as he smiled at me, and opened my arms for a hug. I stood there, speechless, but was pushed forward by Melinda. I found my way into his arms, but lost my balance, and we ended up on the floor, me on top of him. "Oh. My. Gosh. I am so sorry." I aplogized, trying to quickly get up, only to fall back down again. My necklace was stuck to his shirt. This is just, great. "It's um, fine. I guess we should try and get this necklace situation figured out...." He laughed, reaching up to untangle the necklace. I stayed balanced up on my arms so our bodies weren't touching... I didn't need to make things anymore awakrd than they were. Vinny stared intensely at the necklace, trying to get it untangled, gnawing on his bottom lip and his eyebrows furrowing together suring the process. I couldn't help but stifle a giggle.... He is so adorable. Finally he got it undone, and his hazel eyes met mine. "All done." He smiled. "Um, thanks..." I blushed, and got off him. Melinda broke into laughter, and I elbowed her in the ribs. Geeze, that was such a nice way to introduce myself to the boy I'm in love with. "Um, hi, I'm Gabrielle...." I blushed, trying to break the silence. "Vinny. Nice to meet you." He smiled and shook my hand. "You too." I smiled. Mikey finally came in with our bags, and he showed us to our rooms. I collapsed on to my bed, and buried my hands in my face. What is my life...

(Melinda's POV)

"You okay staying here?" Mikey asked, helping me get settled in. "Yeah Mikey, it's only for tonight..." I laughed. "I mean, if you're uncomfortable her... There's always room in my bedroom...." He winked, moving closer to me. "As much as I would like that... I doubt your mother would be fond of it. So, no babes. I am fine here." I laughed, kissing his cheek. "Ugh, fine, alright... So what happened with Gab and Vin?" He asked, placing himself on my bed. I sat across from him. "I pushed her into him.. And she fell on top of him... And then they got stuck... And it was so funny. And both of them pretended to be embarrassed but you could tell they liked it..." I laughed. Mikey broke into laughter and high fived me. "Ginny for the win." I smirked. "Hell yes." He laughed. As the awkward silence took over, I couldn't help but feel the tension between me and Mikey. We were alone... In a bedroom... Stop Melinda. I shook the thought out of my head, and looked at Mikey, only to catch him staring at me. "Take a picture, it'll last longer..." I laughed. "Okay!" Mikey began to pull his phone out of his pocket, but I tried to stop him, which resulted in me falling on top of him. Mikey looked up at me, gnawing on his bottom lip. He began to lean upwards, when the door broke open. "Me and Gab are go- Woah." Vinny stopped at the site of us. I rolled off him and stood up. "Whatever it is, yes. Bye Vinny!" I laughed awkwardly. "Um, okay..." He walked out of the room, confused. I looked back at Mikey, who looked aggitated. I sighed. So close....
