She just talked as if this was a common thing. She knew this existed. And she knew it was very common for palace life.
"Perhaps you’d prefer sunflowers? They follow the sunlight. They are large in size. And the seeds are edible. They are lovely ."
Looks back at him. Just observing him for a moment. Then looking out again.
"May I head home now?"
Calion kept his eyes upon her, never leaving her figure as he admired the dress she wore and how it clung to her body and accented her form. Naturally he felt shameless and allowing his gaze to linger upon her, besides it’s not as if she knew what was going through his mind.
“So, your condition for marriage would be that you’d prefer to be seen as an equal? To not share your beloved with another? Even if your beloved only shared bodily desires and not actual emotions with others?” He asked her curiously, although the concept wasn’t exactly foreign to him. Anyone he actually cared for he’d not want to share either.
“Forgive me for prying about such personal matters. I was merely curious as to what a beauty such as yourself, revered as a goddess by her own people, might expect out of a relationship. And what if I denied your request to head home? Not because I’m threatening you, or because I plan to physically hold you against your will, but because it would do me a great honor to share in your company a bit longer. Might you consider staying for one drink with me? It’s rare for me to have such esteemed company as yourself, and rarer yet to have an untouched beauty nearby. You remind me of a delicate white lily, so pure and unsullied.”
"Its not about being equal....what’s more intimate than laying with someone or kissing them? Silly I’m sure...like a child spouting about love..." she sighed. Clasping her hands to her chest and giving a light prayer before turning to face him.
Slowly stepping his way before sitting across from him. Sure to keep from his grasp. "Then if you don’t mind I would like to remind you of such a flower from the comfort of my home. I have already accepted your request. Several others. Exactly what else is there I can give to such a man who has everything? I do not drink. I do not need fancy bedding or open walls to be comfortable. You have many woman to keep you company. You have no need for me."
She insisted. Her fingers grazing her neck before slipping through her hair. It moved from her back to fall over her shoulder. Like sunlight. Something he even as pharaoh could never hope to truly possess. Laying over the pink tinted fabric that laced her body. Her anklets clinking when she shifted.
“You say such things as what could be more intimate than kissing or laying with someone, which only goes to show you’ve likely not have done either. Don’t get me wrong, it can be a highly passionate exercise, but all the same sometimes when you kiss or hold another you will discover some partners grant you… a different feeling of comfort and homeliness than others. It sounds silly, but sometimes two people are just better connected than others even if they’re going through the same exact motions.” Calion said, watching her take a seat opposite of him as he kept his gaze upon her, only straying at times to her delicate hands and hair as she played with it.
