Jin was in a blue pastel colored room. Sitting on a bed with decorated pillows. There were flowers of other pastel colors on the walls. Mrs. was digging through the little closet and dressers gathering clothes into a trunk for them to take.
Jin smiled. "It is Shelyn's room. It smells like her."
Mrs. gave a weak smile. "Yes, I’m afraid she does carry the smell of the garden on her doesn’t she. Her and Helm drew all those flowers. He was so mad when she tried painting them on his walls. She won of course but we had to promise to stop buying her the paints." She just talked of the memory as she packed. "Shelyn started pressing flowers after Helm left. She would go through books. Sometimes using his books. But even when upset he never scolded her. She was such a handful but when Helm was around, she was usually an angel. We blamed ourselves...how could we not. I’m sure she is such a handful for you two. You’re already raising your youngest brother. And now...I’m afraid we are burdening you with our children.." Mrs. was younger than her husband by nearly 20 years. But even still she looked tired. Her pale skin was lightly tanned and her blonde hair frizzy and pulled back. Proof she was exhausted. But her blue eyes, despite all her woe were clear and loving and bright. She packed the clothes that seemed less like robes and were more common among the ladies and gentlemen of their 'kind. Mrs. was barely thinking of where they were while packing
Jin was just pleased to be in the room. All the flowers and music. How calm it felt in the room. The sweet smell.
Yun smiled. "Please. Allow us to help?" Yun took it upon himself to walk near and take a few of the robes from the closet. He offered them to the Mrs. And allowed her to pack them. He worried all the nicer clothes might be unfit for the hot days.
“On the contrary, she seems like a well adjusted and responsible adult from what I can tell. Having her around has been nice, not to mention she helps out with Jin and keeping him in a nice mood. If anything I would say having her around has made life a bit easier.” He confessed, although on some levels it did make things rather difficult, considering the pharaoh was developing a crush of sorts or at least a curiosity and yearning towards her. Younger Yun also… although Calion didn’t quite care that Yun liked her, after all… Yun had been nothing but an ass to him the entire time so it’s not like Calion was going to feel guilty that she’d be staying in his bed tonight.
“If that is all she needs we should probably be returning then. Yun, since you seem so fond of touching her clothing why don’t you carry it all back on your own? I mean, if you can’t marry the girl, at least you can have the next best thing, her clothing.” Calion smiled ‘kindly’ towards his brother before turning to leave. His patience with Yun was wearing thin this morning due to his lack of restful sleep. With all the other arrangements made the pharaoh was looking forward to enlightening Shelyn she’d be staying. And he remembered how she hadn’t wanted to be more indebted to him, eventually she’d learn that he was personally funding her brother’s recovery.
Yun bowed to the Mrs. Jin followed after taking one of the stuffed animals.
The Mr. handed pharaoh a list of specific items. Some of which they’d need to go get and bring back that were specific to Helm's condition.
But neither scolded Jin about the doll.
Shelyn was awake by the time they all returned. Sitting beside the bed. Singing to him. Keeping him company. She had not left at all. Nor let any of the medical helpers near her brother. She gave him water. And moved his blankets and washed his hair. She wouldn’t let anyone touch him. If anything, she was more in a panicked paranoid state from her own lack of sleep and comfort. Her shoulders hurt even but she wasn’t slowing down.
