“Of course.” He said simply at her point of checking on Amarie, although it was not lost on him that her mood seemed deflated. Although it’s not as if he was ashamed of his past, nor did he think it was right to lie to Shelyn. He gathered she didn’t quite like hearing about the fact he pampered his concubines, though he had hoped she’d understand the unique position she was in in that she and only she was the first one where it would be acceptable for him to have child and marry her.
Calion wasn’t entirely all that used to having a lover upset with him. After all, his concubines would literally bend over backwards to please him.
Nevertheless, he watched her leave, biting his inner cheek uncertain of what was truly bothering her. All the same he gathered up the ring, the earrings, the necklace, as well as a couple different gold outfits to which he planned to buy for her. The room was a bit of a mess, the edge of the table wet with their bodily fluids although it was hardly his responsibility to clean it up. The pharaoh made arrangements to pay for the jewelry before he would make his way towards the palace to await Shelyn’s return.
Nearby the jewelry store Amarie stood with a guard behind her, a bag with filleted fish on one wrist while Jin held onto another as she eagerly awaited to be reunited with her lady. Considering Shelyn’s hair stood out easily it was simple to find the girl. “Lady Shelyn!” She called out, waving with a gleaming smile simply happy with how nice the day had gone and how lucky she felt to be ‘owned’ by someone else. “Shall we wait for the pharaoh? I have the fish ready, but I don’t want to keep it out in this warm sun too long.” She said respectfully.
Shelyn smiled hearing her name. And hurried over to Amarie. She took her arm and took Jin's hand and just pulled them along. "Let’s not. I rather go back now please..." she replied. Trying not to sound upset. But this weighed heavy upon her.
Jin smiled. "Shelyn do I get to help too?" He asked. Not even aware why they bought fish, but he wanted to help. Mostly he wanted to be at her side no matter what she was doing but still.
Shelyn offered a nod. "Of course. I can’t think of anyone better to help me than you Jin."
“Certainly~” She said in cheery tone, after all she didn’t know what weighed upon Shelyn’s mind although she assumed that Shelyn & Calion had done at least something. Not that she was judging, she was /very/ open minded about things and not shy about them in the least so as far as she was concerned it would be ‘weird’ if Shelyn and Calion hadn’t done something.
“Typically, the Pharaoh’s meals are prepared in the palace’s kitchen, the same kitchen that prepares meals for guests, nobles, and high ranking officials. That being said there is a kitchen connected to the Pharaoh’s living quarters where simple meals can be prepared and cooked. It’s much quieter and less people around.” Amarie suggested, figuring Shelyn wouldn’t want to be in a huge kitchen with twenty or so other people as the three of them made their way up the palace steps.
