Shelyn stirred. The yelling was waking her. Yun took this chance. He neared Shelyn. Petting her. "Just a bunch of liars. They aim to make a mockery of you. Of your throne. Why else would she turn you down? Why else would a marriage be refused? What other reason would she have to be so close to him? And desperate."
It’s not like Calion really thought Yun was harmless, but his brother at least in Yun’s eyes was a weakling and cowardly. Back before Calion’s parents passed away Yun would go out of his way to bug Calion, to which when Calion would aim to ‘discipline’ his little brother Yun would go running and hiding behind his parents. So, the idea that Yun would attack another was low, coupled with taking on a soldier at that. 
“Even if that is true, which I’m not yet ready to pass judgment either way, it still doesn’t explain who is after Helm and why. Or why they had to keep their relationship a secret.” Calion looked to Shelyn. He didn’t spend very much time with the girl, and definitely not enough to ascertain whether or not her virginity was intact. If Helm was merely adopted then there would not be any blood & blood sinning and if Shelyn had cared for Helm so deeply in such a way then naturally the two by now would have bedded one another, after all with Helm going off to battle so much who would know when the last time they met would be their actual last.
“I need you two to listen very closely. For lying to your pharaoh is an unforgivable act. Do you love one another, or have you laid with one another previously? Just how close are you to him, Shelyn? Gemma…? Be forewarned, if you were untruthful in your relationship… I may not see a reason for diverting such money into saving his life. Thus far your family has brought a headache upon the throne, and perhaps further sin if you have laid with your own blood.”
Shelyn looked at Calion. "Why...are you asking me such a thing? What did I do?" A bit confused seeing as she was waking up and Calion was now accusing her of something.
Yun smirked. "Why don’t you just take her and find out, brother? If she bleeds then clearly, she hasn’t been had. and belongs to you. After all she was given to you by the man raising her." Yun was playing dirty. Either way he would make his brother look like a monster.
Helm grit his teeth. he didn’t recognize that girl. Nor understand why they said she had a relationship with him. "How can I bed a woman I don’t know? How can I have anyone of I’m never away from my men? Exactly what will raping a woman prove?"
Shelyn struggled to her feet. Only falling to her knees before Calion. They had gone to bed on good terms she thought. And why was Yun trying to get her killed? How could she prove to him that she wasn’t lying? All she could think was how it only resulted in being violated.
Tears fell. She couldn’t say she would only lay with someone she loved. When her relationship with Helm was on trial.
Yun smiled. "Go on brother. Have at her she’s crawling to your feet for forgiveness. And if you find she lied by staying silent you can have her imprisoned. And her darling brother strung up in the streets. Of course. if she’s not she simply falls into that nest of harem you’ve collected. no foul. We can always send Helm away like the doctors wanted
Calion didn’t particularly like Yun’s odd change in personality. As if Yun was on ‘his’ side for once, nevertheless as Shelyn moved from the bed and he watched as she fell down to her knees due to weakness of being sick. He disregarded Yun’s idea of Calion taking Shelyn to bed. He wasn’t of mind to force her just yet into such things, but all the same it didn’t mean he wasn’t curious to see how ‘intact’ she was, he wouldn’t necessarily have to make her bleed to see how pure she still was.
