Amarie waited quietly until Calion had left before she humble approached Shelyn and reached out to hug the woman. “I want to thank you for requesting me to be yours. You have no idea what sort of relief this is. If you ever need anything, please, let me know I will aim to do my best for you lady Shelyn.” She said, despite still feeling rather anxious on how things will be by tonight when she’d undoubtedly need to go back to Mirien’s wing of the palace to sleep.
Shelyn nodded. "Yes, Calion." She replied like the good girl she was. And now that she had permission, she could think of something she liked to eat for a change.
She turned and was prepared to offer a smile before Amarie caught her in a hug. She gave a modest giggle before pulling free. Smiling as if nothing could go wrong. "Well it’s not like you’d belong to anyone else. And if she harms you tell me right away. I won’t tolerate my nice "things" being destroyed by others."
The way she said it wasn’t meant to say that this girl was an object. But more that Shelyn was putting in place, and making it known that she took it as an honor to have gotten what she wanted, yet again, from Calion. And the fact he allowed her to 'own' on of his pretty little caged birds, well it meant that Shelyn had to care for it.
"After all, Calion would be very displeased if I let something, he gave me get ruined. I saw how he hesitated. So please. For Calion don’t hesitate to tell me ok?"
She insisted. Linking her arm with Amarie's. "Lets find prince Jin ok? Then I will show you the most beautiful of all places. Aside from sitting beside Calion." She winked playfully.
She walked down the hall.
She couldn’t remember the last time she smiled like this. Nor did she understand why she felt so free considering the circumstances. But she did. Maybe that is Calion's power? Of course it just dawned on her how familiar she was with him. Calling him by name instead of Pharaoh like his servants did.
Amarie nodded quietly, feeling now a bit uneasy looking into Shelyn’s eyes as if Amarie was unworthy to do so. “Yes my lady, I will inform you should anything happen.” It provided her some relief and as she followed behind Shelyn she couldn’t help but comment in a soft voice. “Although I’m not sure if the pharaoh truly cares all that much if I’m ruined. He hasn’t had need of me in some time.” She said, it was not to rub in the face of Shelyn that she had slept with Calion, but simply that she was saddened in the neglect she felt after Calion had swapped to another concubine before Shelyn arrived. She wasn’t sorry she lost her first time to the pharaoh, if anything she felt honored, but she very much missed and craved his touch. Or rather, she missed and craved the touch of anyone after so long of having to now go without.
Trying to brighten up her attitude and mood she chimed in. “Perhaps it’ll be nice to pick some fresh herbs from your garden for whatever we’ll be having for dinner tonight? N-not that I mean to include myself, I’m more than happy to help prepare the meal and then get my rations from the kitchen elsewhere.”
Calion knocked a couple times before having the guards unlock the door before the pharaoh entered Yun’s chamber and shifted his eyes over towards Yun. His face was devoid of any care or concern for his brother, he was here for information and that was all. “’Dear’ brother, I wonder if a couple days of solitude has afforded you the chance to reflect upon your actions. That aside, call it an inkling, but I’m not convinced you don’t know where Shelyn’s mother is being held or who took them. After all it is quite fishy… that Helm died, the guard I posted at the door was missing, and when I come back you and she are in the room. I doubt she’d do anything to her brother and considering the act you were about to perform… it does not put you in good light. So, if you have any hopes of seeing the light of day again, I compel you to speak.”
"Calion won’t tolerate it. I will be sure of it. After all you are mine now. Shelyn smiled and nodded. "That does sound like a good idea. But I would rather cook for Calion myself. I don’t mind. It would be nice to be useful other than warming his bed. That’s for sure." She admitted. Not that she hated it. But she was certain she was good at other things that Calion might enjoy too.
Finding Jin in the lounge area, he happily bolted up and nearly tackled the poor girls to the floor. "Shelyn! You’re still here! It broke and I am sorry I was trying to play it. And no one knows how to fix it. Please don’t hate me!" he sobbed. He held out the little instrument and Shelyn only hugged him tightly. "No need to worry. I will fix it. And then we can go play in the garden alright? For now, how about we go gather some flowers together?" She sweetly replied. Gently kissing each teary eye of Jin's before taking his hand now. Letting Amarie free so that she could walk with Jin now.

Yun sat upon his bed. Reading. He didn’t bother looking up from his book. Even when Calion spoke to him, his eyes remained upon the pages. "You may think I know. But I do not. I’m sure that woman ran off on her own. After all she was much younger than her own husband. Who is to say she didn’t set the home ablaze when he refused to let her go." His voice calm and dark. As if he had no care. "As for Shelyn...how is she? I hear you wasted no time in bedding the little whore. Must of been very easy after all that has happened. Tell me, what did you have to give her this time in exchange? If anything you should be thanking me."
“You say that, but was it not you who told us a story about seeing her taken by riders dressed in black? Who told you that story anyway, I’d very much like to speak to them if that’s the case.” Calion said, knowing that there probably didn’t exist anyone who would corroborate with the story, especially if Calion put their life on the line. “Besides, seems odd to me that a woman who had dedicated her life to saving others would in turn burn her own husband, especially given the fact she was grieving after just having spent an entire day prior operating on her son.” Calion approached keeping his voice calm. “You call her a whore, and yet she had not slept with you, so how exactly does that reflect back to you, dear brother? I’m not opposed to locking you away till you’re feeble and old. Hell, for the amount of disrespect you show me I would not be crossing lines in just having you put down like the ungrateful dog that you are. I hope you remember the image of her well because I assure you that’ll be the last good thing you see in quite some time. Soon enough no one will give a damn about poor Yun. Not even Jin will miss you after he hears you hurt Shelyn.”
