One of the doctors which had tended to Helm through the day while she was gone had come in after a few minutes after she’d fainted and hurried to help Shelyn up off the floor and setting her down in a chair. She was offered water and light tapping against her cheek to wake her up. “Hello? Come on, open your eyes for me. Did you eat today? You’re the man’s sister, aren’t you?” He asked, trying to piece together if this was from lack of food and stress or something more serious.
Shelyn was limp when he moved her. Her skin burning with a fever. Clearly her exhausted state and worry held a big hand in this illness. Not to mention she probably had not eaten from being too caught up in her brother's state.
She mumbled about Helm. But nothing very stable aside from his name. Groans of discomfort and pain.
Checking her forehead, he could see she was quite warm and it didn’t take long before a cot was brought into the room, set up beside Helm’s own bed where she was guided to gently lay down. A mug of broth was brought in to try and get her to sip upon. It would help solve both problems of being dehydrated, but also provide her with vitamins, minerals, as well as fats to give her body some calories to start consuming.

Calion finally stirred from his own bed after another forty-five minutes, dressing now properly in both lower robes as well as fabric to cover his torso. He was in little rush to leave his bedroom, taking the time to brush out his hair, he knew full well Shelyn would most definitely be with Helm right now.
While brushing his hair he found the two unopened gifts he made for her, as well as the first she had dropped on the floor to which he picked up and set upon a coffee table in front of the couch in the living space of the bedroom. It was probably for the best she didn’t know just how lewd this item was, although perhaps in time she’d connect the dots. Finally, he decided to leave to head on back towards Helm’s bedroom. Hoping to find Shelyn, and perhaps her parents to figure out just how expensive this whole process would be. Not that money was an issue… he likely would have paid double now that he’d had a small taste of Shelyn.
She barely sipped the broth given to her.
Of course, the dress she had picked would have to be removed. Its thick and multilayered fabrics were too heavy for the weather here. Despite it being common attire for her people. The doctor undressed her. And placed a sheet over her with a cool rag on her head.
Continuing to insist on her drinking the broth even if he had to feed it too her the way they did Helm. But luckily, she managed to swallow what was given.
After she finished the bowl, she was given a shot with medicine in it to help her fever and pain.
Her bed was distanced from Helm's. So at least 2 nurses could fit between them.
It broke her heart. So close and yet so far. Her breathing slowed thanks to finally getting some comfort. And she slipped back to sleep.
Calion finally entered without being stopped before seeing the odd and unexpected scene of Shelyn not tending to Helm, but rather in her own bed, a rag over her head and having only a thin undergarment slip upon her body. “What is the meaning of this? What has happened?” He questioned, after all she was seemingly fine before, a bit shaken after their nap, but for what reason or how was she now being tended to herself?
Calion treated the sickness quite seriously, as despite how ‘advanced’ their healing methods were people did die from seemingly simple ailments all the time, but surely not her… she was after all blessed by a god, right?
Moving to her bedside he cupped her cheek gently, looking down upon her pretty face while her eyes were shut, wondering what could have gone wrong and how might he fix her. Naturally in a state such as this… there is not much he expects out of her.
A nurse did her best to inform him. Despite fearing she might be in trouble. But she explained how the doctor found her on the floor. The fever from worry and exhaustion. And how they gave her broth for dehydration and to feed her. Even a small shot to help with the fever and pain.
Since her parents had a made a journal during their days of work, it was very easy to classify her aliment and treat her.
With the readymade shots and such she assured him Shelyn would be fine after she rested properly. But would need to avoid exhausting herself over the next few days.
Shelyn herself murmured. Weak and dry but she was calling out. Another dream perhaps? Or maybe a dire message?
Whatever it was her breathing became frantic again. And her face pained as she desperately called to her parents.
The flowers all around the room wilted and the emitted a strange burning smell. "Fir..e...."
His concern was not lost, but he found it somewhat reassuring after the nurse had informed him that at least she had received decent medical attention. Biting upon his inner cheek he sat and waited by her bedside, watching as the flowers died around her and a few times catching the whiff of smoke as she oddly enough murmured ‘fire’. It became clear that she wasn’t all talk and that she truly must have been blessed to some extent if she could influence flowers such as she did. It also confirmed in his mind that the sudden death of the flora around the palace was caused by her that first day where she was nearly violated.
“Unhand me you brute I will see that you lose it if you get in my way again.” Mirien shouted in a rather annoyed tone as she barged into the medical room and cast a glare towards Shelyn before looking upon Calion. She didn’t quite like the attention the Pharaoh was giving this girl and much preferred him with other servants to whom she had control over. “My pharaoh, pardon the interruption, but I’ve collected another lot of potential servant girls who’s fathers have offered as payment for your grace.” She said, it was common practice around the city for father’s to offer up their daughters to the pharaoh to be used in exchange for forgiving debt or to arrange preferential trading. For example, a farmer who wishes the palace use his harvest might offer up his own daughter in exchange for having a contract with the palace to supply all the ‘x’ type of food the palace might use. Usually Calion inspects the offerings, many are refused but some luckily enough do get selected and enter within his harem, until he gets bored at least.
The nurse turned a blind eye to the concubine who dared go against Calion's exact order about no one but a select few being allowed in. However she did cast a pleading eye to him. Shelyn and Helm both needed peace. And Helm risked infections if too many ventured in and brought too many foreign germs.
However the voice too familiar and now several of the vases burst open around the room. As if protesting this woman entering. Or fear even.
This warning wasn’t completely lost when 2 more servants entered in pants. "My pharaoh! Something has happened! The doctor's home is in flames! "
