Shelyn took it with a grain of salt.  "Thank you for the gift..." looking at it made her sad. She didn’t expect anyone to know her birthday was today. Since only Helm ever gave her things. She tried not to cry. "It is a very nice gift." She stood as Calion returned and excused herself quickly back to the bedroom.
Aoi sighed. "How rude of your sister...." he mumbled watching her go. "I take it I wasn’t supposed to bring her a birthday gift?" He asked Calion.
Calion took a seat nearby curiously watching as Shelyn hurried off unaware at what had transpired.
“I uhm.” He furrowed his brows and pursed his lips. “I wasn’t aware it was her birthday…” He said, sure he’d slept with her a few times now, but such details surely wouldn’t come out yet. Although, he did buy her what he thought were some nice gifts.
“That being said, I can imagine it has been a pretty difficult day, what with the funeral and all… it’s a real shame for what had taken place to her family. Furthermore given the fact I still don’t know for what reason they had to suffer like that. Anyway, Aoi.” Calion settled his eyes upon his brother. “How have you been? It’s been awhile since last we talked, although I’m sure you are aware of some things.” Calion said, like in reference to Yun being locked up for attempted rape.
Amarie came out shortly after and shyly set a serving tray down with three cups of green tea.
"I am sure they were simply a by product of getting to Helm. He is after all the stone in your army. With him around no one stands a chance at turning your rein to rubble."
He talked as if Helm was still here. "Of course I find it hard to believe Yun would attack your best man. Perhaps he saw him as an imposter?"
Aoi offered a possibility. Of course he wouldn’t admit yet. He certainly enjoyed the chaos of it all.
“Considering he’s offered up no information to support that accusation I would consider such insults against Helm’s character to be slanderous. All I have to work on is the fact I had the room under guard and when I returned the guard was missing and Yun was within having Shelyn bent over and… exposed with clear intentions as to what he was going to do. Not to mention Helm who had previously woken up, albeit with loss of memory, was now dead. Regardless…” Calion sighed. “It’s not like I’d really sentence him or any of my brothers to death. Though, I have no issues keeping him confined to his room indefinitely until matters are cleared.”
Calion crossed a leg over his knee and sipped on his tea. “What would you do if you were in my shoes about Yun?” He asked, genuinely curious although it didn’t mean Calion’s mind would change.
"Me? Personally we all know it’s just to get under your skin. However I would have had him beheaded. Of course is she not as guilty? After all she refused a prince." Aoi started to explain. "Exactly how many woman in general would refuse him or any of us for that matter. Seems he eyed her for longer than you have. Of course rape in it’s own is unthinkable. But it is her word against his own. I am sure she will vouch she didn’t want it. And Yun will say she did." A circle so it seemed. Clearly Yun's behavior had circulated.
"However, I hear the leader of that little group has nearly vanished. Word is the enemy has backed off. I find it amusing. Helm dying, Yun locked away. It’s almost as if we caught the one or persons trying to take you on. And all it cost you were a doctor and his wife. Securing the herbalist in your bed. No doubt you will have an heir by the winter. And those who opposed you will become nothing more than daises withering under snow."
“I believe it was made clear to Yun that she would be mine, so of course he would be refused. Regardless, I will not in good conscience sentence him to a beheading. He’s still young-ish, power hungry certainly, though I see no reason why with time he wouldn’t mature. Besides, he didn’t do himself any favors in his hostile approach towards me. I could have very well have turned a blind eye on Shelyn if he properly expressed interest in her, but instead he sought to challenge me at every turn so…” He shrugged and took a sip. “He should know better than to pick a fight with his older brother that he can’t win.”

Although Calion curiously looked to Aoi at his final words. “I wonder who told you I planned on seeding her. Although, you’re not wrong. As you can imagine I’ve already begun attempts.” Calion suggested, he was open about his sexual life with many people, of course he would be open about speaking of it with Aoi, even if Aoi didn’t quite seem to like females.

“Did you know Helm well?”
"My dear brother who did not want that girl? I am sure Yun wanted her the very night she arrived to play for Jin.c he admitted. "Of course every servant is chattering like hens over your new play thing. Expecting her to be gone in a matter of days."
He grabbed his tea and sat back. The question of Helm bringing a blush to his cheeks. He fluttered like a woman as he admitted. "I have known him since he was assigned to my ranks. As lovely as the days are hot. And a voice that threatens deeper than the Nile. I could wrap myself in that snowy hair if he let me." Aoi had no issue admitting his love towards Helm, who clearly was in no hurry to play house with Aoi. "But his kisses were so cold. And his fingers hard. I imagine loving him would only make him melt. He talked of her so highly I find I was very jealous. She is lovely, is she not?" He asked wanting to hear how Calion felt for this young girl.
“It’s just the reality of the situation, the pharaoh gets what he wants. In fact, I found the way she was disinterested in me even more alluring than the simple servants I have which drool or drip by seeing me. So, Yun was simply unlucky that I had caught an eye for her.” Calion said, remaining quiet as he found it interesting to see Aoi had been infatuated with Helm, although it seems their relationship hadn’t gone too far. Then again, it was Aoi, and the boy could likely be rather convincing, especially for a soldier who was away from home, and therefore girls, for such long periods at a time.
