“Your silence is deafening, Shelyn I can’t help but notice you haven’t answered anything. Helm here either is lying about your arrangement or he has indeed suffered a blow to the head that has ruined his memory. You on the other hand are the only one left we have available to understand what exactly is going on. Now then, assuming whatever issues are going on with your family don’t interfere with me… I don’t particularly care too much. The fact of the matter is if you are or aren’t involved with Helm in sexual way doesn’t matter so long as you understand who you belong to now. I can still see to it that he receives treatment, but you will be mine. So, you have two things to decide upon.”
“Firstly, whether you’re willing to allow me to check your virtue, and secondly, if you’re willing to submit yourself indefinitely to me in order for me to continue on with his treatment. Granted, you’d be giving up your freedom to save a man who doesn’t even remember you, so I won’t hold it against you if you prefer to just let his treatment go. “
She was stuck. First, she shook her head. "I... can’t let him...it is not fair he has to be alone..." she sobbed. He was her brother regardless of his memories.
Shelyn slipped off the golden jewelry he had given her. If she was a servant, she doubted he would let her keep it. She offered it up to him. She had nothing left. Sold just to ensure her brother would live.
"Please...not in front of my brother...I don’t...want him to see me like that.." she had grown to like the bracelet she was offering back to him. She just didn’t know if she was allowed to have it if she was becoming a servant.
Even still it wasn’t in her to let someone in need go without it. "If it is proven I’m not.... will you let me continue on our original arrangement? I’m just as knowledgeable in medicine.... just as I am with music...I could help by taking over for my parents until they return...it is all I ask...is that you allow me that...please..." she spoke to Calion. She wasn’t in a position to bargain. But she knew she had never lay with Helm. Her parents were doctors. Helm was her blood brother. He basically raised her. She never lied to Calion. She prayed he trusted her just as he had asked her to do
Despite how unfair she thought Calion was being he wasn’t a monster. Firstly, he was possessive. He neither wanted Helm, nor Yun, to be able to see her unclothed and spread open. Calion reached down, his hand moving past the bracelet and took her by the wrist to pull her up to her feet. “That is yours to wear. It’s a gift, something I tend to give all my servants in one way or another, it’s not meant to be something you can trade or sell, but rather something I just like to see upon my girls.” He said flatly as he bit his inner cheek. “As for the original agreement we need to discuss what exactly you think this agreement is.” He said, knowing she showed reluctance in the bathtub, yet she would need to learn quickly that he could, at any moment he desires, ask for much more out of her.
“We’ll be leaving to my bedroom.” He looked over to Helm. “It’s not like he’s capable of moving in his condition anyway, we won’t be gone for long, and ultimately need to come back for further questioning. Unless… Yun’s information turns out to be true in which case I will need to decide what exactly should be done. In any case…” He sighed. “I’ll ask everyone leave this room, after all infection may spread with so many people coming and going.” He continued to hold onto her wrist firmly, having her by his side, letting the idea in her mind sink in that in not too long she’d have to show the pharaoh something quite precious.
“Ready?” He asked, to her, as well as the others in the room as he awaited for them to leave.
The nurse sighed being too late. But still gave the bowl to Shelyn insisting she eat soon. Then explained she had to prepare a meal for the now awake man.
Shelyn told her oatmeal. With cream. Then left with Calion.
