Days have gone by and watch one a new small victory for each of us. This time I was not staying behind hidden doors or castle walls.

My mates by my side and a few good men from Sebastian's pack we made our way in the thick cold winter forest where they found me oh so long ago it seems now, fighting each rouge we found, killing each one that didn't submit. Vampires dying left and right unable to control there urge to hunt me, the boys coming out of the trees taking them down.

I admit I wasn't one for being bait but it was working. We were making progress or were we? It seemed we go out and kill the same amount of beast and bloodsuckers as before or even more. How many men did Victor really have at his arsenal?

my thought wondering as I stayed low this time hiding in the thick dense bushes covered in snow, a doe and her fawn laying low near me, too afraid to run from me for what was out there was far worse. They heard it too. Its call was something we hadn't heard before Sebastian's ears perked, his body tensed as he took me and told me to get low, not to move or come out for any reason.

I nodded doing just that as he disappeared into the night, cold freezing air.

"you little lady will come with us and be safe" I whispered to the deer her ears perking up at me her eyes dark black staring as if she was trying to understand me. I meant her no harm and free and safe she would be on our land.

her fawn hiding low to her not moving, I smiled as the doe laid her head down and rest her eyes still open watching for anything outside the brush.

the whistling sound of the cold chill whipping through the trees, the cold air nipping at our nose like an old Christmas carol.

I laid lower curling my legs under me keeping the warmth from seeping out, the cap wore covering me the white furs hiding me well blendings me to my surroundings.

I link my mates all at once asking them where they were and how things looked. Always answering within seconds letting me know nothing happening yet, and to stay hidden still.

a howl again coming from near me. I huddle low, the doe perking up a little looking at me giving me that look, reaching my hand out slow she allows me to touch her relaxing her I stroke her ear gently, telling her to lay low and not to worry.

"Baby, get ready to move if needed" Seb links me

"roger" I link him

the howl getting closer, and closer. listening to it It sounds almost overhead, I can't keep down any lower without laying flat. considering this option but not wanting to move I hear the brush near me move the doe tensing her fawn perking its head up.

"shh," I whisper pressing a hand to her ear again.

"Seb, " I link a question in my tone.

nothing this time no words I lay there anxious to know, need to get up yet I trust him and stay where I need to be when a shadow leaps over my head and lands directly in front of the brush and trees I hid under. knowing it isn't my mates I lay down remembering how I would hide before pacing my breath keeping them shallow so not to be heard. the doe and fawn doing the same.

"Stay low, love" Peters link sounds in my mind.

the beast in front of me standing smelling the air like he knows I'm near but can't quite find me. I breathe shallower now than before, he turns looking left then right, feeling the air sensing his surroundings.

his body ridged strong tall a beast of beast seeming taller then even Sebastian, this new werewolf has my attention as I peak up looking at him, all I can see now keeping still and lower my face almost in the snow beneath me, his heals leading up his legs the cafe of them stronger then I have ever seen like he was made to run. build to tear down things and keep going.
