Ch 67 Boys will be boys!

Days have passed again, seeming only like hours. River had never left my room caring for me non stop as directed by Victor. 

The guys would come in every few hours on a regular checking in, ever since I started feeling sick they worried wanting to make sure it was due to my condition vs some outside source or at least keep it that way. 

Drogo patrolled the grounds like he always did. 

Peter the weapons and guards.

Nick, reviewed the maps of the castle and all the grounds around it. he was finally getting a full view of victor's land and it was gifted to him by Victor himself. 

Sebastian, on the other hand, stayed close to me, the Grand hall room outside my room gave him all the room he needed to work, holding meetings with the packs or workout even sleep, eat and shower all without bothering me. 

He had become far more protective than usual and I kind of didn't mind it.

Victor had rallied up all his guards, packs still loyal to him, checking their loyalty allowing them life if they passed his tests. He had been done with traitors and this time his "Lord status" would no longer be questioned. He even talked and laid down some ground rules and requests to the others establishing his place in this union.  "The kid could very well be mine as well, so like it or not, wanting it or not I too am her mate, she decided on that!!" Not just him proclaimed growling showing his strength. 

The guys didn't speak about it for a while, but so far they seem to be just handling it as they would anything else.  I know the trust with Victor will take time and I had hoped that they would start to see him the way I did or at least in part. 

Victor wasn't the evil lord everyone claimed him to be but a ruler that had to be ruthless at times considering when he had lived, turned, and lived through again. To survive all that did something to a man, vampire all rolled in one. 

my situation was far from what I ever imagined I'd be living right now, seeing as where I was before all of this I wasn't sure I would live this long. Now, I have five strong remarkable men protecting me and what was theirs. 

River, had said the child was growning faster then what she expected but that it was normal considering the turn of events and the power in me, not to mention the bloodlines now. I sighed scared out of my mind on this one, raising a kid now! really... I knew I would but I had hoped for more time. 

River, tired to get a read on the child within me but there was nothing, not yet anyway she said. 

but the look on her face didn't reassure me. 

"is that a bad thing," I asked

"no, just means there is powerful magic protecting him or her" she answered

"speaking on that is it a girl of a boy," I asked not sure if I wanted to know but asked anyway. 

"what do you want it to be" she answered

"I don't know, perhaps a boy first I always wanted a brother," I told her. 

"Then that is what he will be" she smiled answering me

"what, wait you said He, not It, River really its a boy" 

"of course and a strong one at that" 

"River, between you and I please tell me can you see or tell who the father is" 

"yes, but if you know now I don't know you might be too eager to share the news" she smiled again then added

"Perhaps it's best to wait the few weeks and see for yourself when its born"
