The guys sat listening to me hearing what my side of it all.  The moments she arrived to now all the details well minus a few I told them. she wanted to, but couldn't not now.

Nick and Peter had asked about a few things concerning us from a few decades back, things that they needed to clarify. I answered what I could and explaining others I couldn't.  feeling like we had made progress I swallowed a sip of my whiskey.

But something kept eating at me, something they said when they set out to come to find my men bringing the war to me. Simoes had a few attempts on her life, someone else was still trying to kill her.

They had thought of course me, and a spy. but, once she arrived here that was completely stop, Lorie was the next target and yes she was trying to kill Simoes, but she was never in their castle to try and poison her.

For safe measure, the king was put in the dungeon along with Lorie to keep an eye out, except Lorie was allowed to escape so she could be followed. They hadn't found out about the king yet and they wear about if it wasn't him they were at a loss.  who could have done it?.

"who is this king you keep referring too?" I asked not knowing any other king other than her father, but that was many years after her birth that he back a king by his own right.

"King Cyrus" Nick told me

"Cyrus is alive" I groaned.

"yes, why do you know him I thought you tried to kill him," Peter said.

"No, not really" I explained showing them the same images I had shown Simoes about her mother.

"So you weren't trying to kill her mother, or her " Sebastian gruffed out

"no, I was always wanting to protect her, but decades takes a toll on people" expressing my guilt a little in my answer

"yes, it does but that still doesn't excuses or explain the things now" Nick replied.

"I wasn't saying it did, but it does give clarity to the details," I said then added,

"I know she wants to speak to you about it all, about us and her I am prepared to let her go if it meant keeping her safe and happier with you all, but I can't deny that this new information makes me worried that your home has been infiltrated and while you have gone making it all the easier when you return."  Peter understood what I was saying as he nodded.

"Yeah, but we aren't staying here or leaving her with you if that's what you are thinking" Nick retorted.

"I didn't say that, either" I rose a brow at him

"For what it's worth Victor, I appreciate your truth and revealing of said history that took place, but I still don't trust you. you have been a certain way for far longer than many its a habit that can be hard to break" Sebastian let me know before he stood and paced the room.

I nodded completely in an understanding him. I wouldn't either.

In fact, the only reason we were even all sitting here chatting was because of her. her love is what kept us from killing each other. lost in my thoughts Peter asked a question I didn't think he would even consider.

"your powers they would help her how,"

rising a brow at his question I thought hard for a moment, but I didn't really have a clear why or a how.

"Im not sure, the healer just said it would balance her" I answered feeling just as puzzled as he looked.

" A healer, which healer" Nick asked
