FORBIDDEN

Ch 2 Keeper

I keep fading in and out of sleep, hearing a voice come and go. I try and hear what is being said around me.

(Whispering)

"Nicolae! she's been asleep for hours its that normal of humans?"

"their world has changed, become harder for them, rest isn't easy to come by, so if she sleeps she rest and we need her rested"... "Keep an eye out, I'll return in a moment" 

I fade back out! letting sleep take me again.

+ As I fade back in I'm beginning to feel sore laying here on my back, I want to move but before I can I hear 

 "Nicolae! (whispering) Nicolae, has she woken up yet?"

"No, why are you both so impatient?" Nicolae adds

"We" ....."SHHH! " the second begins but, Nicolae takes over quitting him

 second begins again this time whispering  "we aren't impatient we are just wondering,"

"worried more like it"  a 3rd whispers out

"Well, if you must know she's fine everything seems fine, only needed sleep she was beyond exhausted," Nicolae tells them. 

I moan out in discomfort a sound I was not trying to make has them come pretty quite now, all I hear is there light breathing as if there waiting for me to make another move. 

"she.. she sounds so appealing when she makes that noise, Nicolae" 

"Hmm, Yes! but I don't think she was trying to perhaps she is dreaming" Nicolae replies

this time I hold back any sound I can as I lift my self up a little and turn over facing them but keeping my else quite and appearing asleep as best I can. I want to make sure I am as safe as they so said I was when they took me. 

"she moved"

"Of course she wasn't dead you goat!"

"I simply meant that she didn't wake"

I can't tell who is who when they whisper, but If I had to guess the one who has a tease to his voice called the nicer one a goat. Well, this is fun hearing them bicker as if they have never seen a human. 

"Nicolae, we need to wake her soon this is taking forever!" the one that teases speaks up and I am able to make him out. he's standing near me watching me as if wanting to touch me but holding back. Why? I wonder!

"Oh, do you have plans, surely after 100 years of waiting a moment longer won't kill what isn't alive? Don't you think?" Nicolae tells him

"We aren't going to wake her, let her be!... Nicolae we will retire for the night but if you need us brother you know how to call us!" the 3rd says no longer whispering either but speaking softly. 

"Of Course, Good evening brother!" 

"Good Evening," the 3rd says and as fast as he was there he is gone. 

GOOD EVENING! who even says that anymore. from what time are they from?

"And you Brother! are you taking your leave?" Nicolae asks

"I... I um. I suppose so there isn't anything you wish of me for her is there?" the 2nd says no teasing or mocking in his tone this time. 

"no, Ill shall be fine with her, thank you and good night!" Nicolae says to him
