The plot had thickened now that Lorie as suddenly reappeared. The fact that she was here was a sign that no good was coming in its wake.
Peter, Drogo, Sebastian and myself had all gathered at the table, maps and book unfolding looking for anything else to fortify our walls and better plan for an attack, Simoes wasn't allowed to leave are side so we made her a cozy little area to rest while we worked. Of course, keeping her still was a job in of its self.
Every few hours she would appear at our side looking over what we had been quietly discussing keeping herself in the loop of war. Of so I had hoped but in truth, her presence near us made us feel better, loved and trusted.
each of us at some point locked eyes with her making sure she had no questions, as she smiled up at us we knowingly continued.
She was our mate and ours to protect and protect her we would and will our lives.
"So here is the plan thus far" I answered pointing to the maps and only using our telepathic links allowing only the five of us the ability to hear it making sure to block out all others and any attempts to listen in or link us.
I explained the details in our plan, how we would keep our hunt going on for invaders pretending that lories attempts had failed if anything father might not expect that like he would using her to find him or staying hidden. but we needed to be on alert things would be tricky and we didn't need them following us here, so I had pointed to some cave location on the map that we had used once before on a hunt in another part of the land surrounding our land and walls we would use magic once again and create a portal that only we could use and men who were with us if they got lost or captured they would never know. ensuring the secret new entrance and in the off chance someone in victors army had seen us go there and use the portal, there would be a decoy cave and portal to anyone that wasn't bloodline to us as this magic spell would only use the five of us's blood to conjure it.
We had to keep it as our new way back so that if we were ever followed it would never lead here, at least not for anyone else. I also had a plan that if we heard word that they thought that was the gate to our home I could conjure up a decoy "a mirage" if you will of a fake version of our home through caves so anyone reporting back would only lead the rest into a fatal trap.
The battle details I was leaving in Sebastian's hands and Drogo's allowing one to oversee things from the sky as the other took the ground.
As for Peter and I, we would keep things undergoing from here, but all of us would take turns protecting her as the others were busy doing there part. her only concern was to improve her powers and her battle skills for now.
Her time would come, but for now, it was not that time yet.
As for Lorie, I would hypnotize her and see what secrets she really held and if her heart was pure or hide some danger inside for us. The skill I had was greater than even victors when it came to mind games, and it was one of my advantages we had.
Things were underway but the tension in the room was unmistakable we all had once question in mind but no one asked it. Perhaps we didn't want to speak life into it.
Simoes, stood over the table looking everything over her hands placed flat ontop hold her stance as she drew her eyes over everything. Peter had retired to the piano nearby writing some music as it calmed him. Drogo sat near the fire glass of whiskey in his hands the smell was all he needed since the taste was no longer an option or pleasurable.
As for Sebastian he had left to check in on a few things with the packs patrolling the castle as well as the members wondering the castle floors.
