was the only thing we heard before they were up and out of the room in a flash. I gasped at the quickness of his feet his arms wrapping around her small waist as if she weighed nothing.  

Her mate losing his composure leaping to his feet before I was at his side. I knew exactly what Victor was up to and I couldn't let her mate tear him apart before they had a second to talk. 

"Luka, she's fine! trust me please they have unsettled business to talk about"  I explained 

my hand gently touching his shoulder "Please Luka use your link you'll see she is in no danger" I said again calmly. 

"was this your plan get us alone separated from our kids so he could take her" he hissed at me 

my mates standing a bit closer their hands clenching at how he spoke to me. 

"no, I had no idea that he was even considering talking to her" I sighed lowering my hand 

"I think that after what happened he needed his moment with her alone to discuss all that went down between them, and rightfully so. Would you want to listen in on all that stuff" almost hissed thinking about it myself? 

his eyes rose up looking at the door before he looked back down at me. Luka was a very handsome man good gosh, know I know what I was kept away from him considering who I am any male could be my mate and he and I could have possibly been, but thankfully he had found his true mate before we would ever meet in person. Truthfully, I couldn't take on another mate let alone one this damn handsome. His eyes glowed yellow when he was heated or at least they did to me, perhaps another color for his mate as that can happen. he was as tall as Sebastian and almost as built. If they had to go head to head it would be a battle to the end because I don't see either one of them backing down let alone being defeated so easily. 

I swallowed my concern hoping that these meetings we were going to have wouldn't lead to that. 

I gestured for him to sit again as I took a seat beside him. 

"So, Luka, indulge me for a moment Tell me about your and Sebastian's childhood, it would be nice to hear it from another perspective" I smiled sipping on some water. 

He huffed with a smirk as if he knew something about Seb that perhaps no one else did. 

"what hasn't he told you," he asked

"I'm not sure perhaps you can just start and I'll let you know what I haven't heard yet" 

he smiled to be nice but his eyes were on the door behind me. 

"she's okay I Promise I hold no ill regard for her" I confirmed

"Simoes, it's not you! I'm worried about" 

"Victor I'm sure holds no grudge either," I said but all he did was smile and lean in his eyes changing colors again

"she isn't for the weakest of men, nor something a lord can handle if not for our bond she would be a rouge mate so perhaps it's him who needs protection" 

I smiled, I see he was proud of his headstrong women and I had to give him that she was headstrong and free-willed, but I couldn't lie I too wanted to know what the hell Victor was up to. 

another sip of water and I smiled for him to begin. 

"Well, Seb what should I tell her" Luka's eyes turned to his once old friend. 

"Whatever you wish, I have nothing to hide," Seb said with a glint in his eyes and a small smirk.
