We were woken up by the sound of the door opening and voices.

I sat up and watched as Charlie slowly rubbed her eyes and yawned.

I looked up to see the doctor smirking at the sight of the two of us crammed into the one hospital bed.

"Glad to know you're feeling better Mr. Delany." He said leaning his head towards the curly haired girl laying beside me.

She turned red and quickly got herself up from the bed.

"James you are being released today, but you did break your leg so you will need to use crutches for a while, and take it easy for a couple of days, you were just in a major car accident." The doctor pointed out which I just nodded at.

"We have to file some papers before then, so just take it easy." The doctor suggested and closed the door behind him.

I rolled over to look at Charlie.

"How'd you sleep?" I asked her.

I watched as her eyes traveled to the ceiling as if she was remembering.

"I couldn't fall asleep for a while, but once I did I don't recall having any dreams." She said sighing and running her hands through her tangled hair.

I nodded and leaned back on the pillow.

After I was finally released from the hospital I just had to relax for a while.

It was the end of January. Which was nice.

James was at home resting.

I was sitting in my room; finishing up some college applications and listening to music.

I looked at my laptop at my top list of schools.

Juilliard, Colombia, NYU.

None in Colorado.

I sighed looking one more time at my screen.

Stanford.

It was in California, a fight away, but not as far as New York City.

I clicked on the website.

I decided why not send them my application, just for laughs.

I printed their address when I heard a knock on the door.

I groaned and got up from my bed.

"James I-" I stopped myself once I opened the door.

There was Alex holding two dozen red roses in his arms.

"So what are you dating him now?" He asked.

"No I, um... What are you doing here?" I asked this time with more anger.

"I wasn't lying when I said I loved you. You know?" He said.

I tried shutting the door but he held it open with his hand.

He pushed it and came into the house.

"Alex get out I don't want you here." I said pointing at the door and avoiding the sharp blue eyes.

He walked over to me.

"Look at me." he demanded.

He lifted my chin so I was looking directly at him.

His eyes were the same cool blue.

His hands were on my cheeks and I felt the warmth for his breath on his cheeks.
