Alexander's POV:

"I was expecting to see you at the club on Christmas Day with several whores sitting on your lap. Expect my surprise to hear that the big bad boss was spending Christmas with his enemies".

Throwing my briefcase down on my office sofa I walked over to my desk and stood before Liam who was sitting in my chair with his legs resting on the desk.

"And what have you got to say about it?".

"I'm simply impressed, that's all. Your little kitten is more naive than we anticipated. You've got the opportunity now, fuck your little doll and then finish the job".

I felt anger course through my body hearing him talk about my kitten that way. He has no right to have opinion on anything to do with Lily. Ever since he laid eyes on her I felt uneasy seeing the way he looked at her. He had no business with her. But I had to remain calm, he wanted the satisfaction of seeing me wound up and the bastard knew how to wind me up.

"Better yet, let me fuck her too and then you can get rid of her. She's got a banging body and a sweet mouth. Imagine the pleasure the little slut could give me with her mouth"-

Before Liam could utter another word, I found myself jumping over the desk and grabbing his collar with my teeth clenched painfully together. My gun was pressed firmly to his forehead with his face only a small space away from mine. He stared up unbothered by my reaction and smirked at me with a sinister glint in his eyes.

"SHE'S MINE" I growled menacingly hating the idea of Liam putting his hands on her or any man for the matter.

"But does your kitten know that? Claim her while you have the chance and then get the job done".

"I don't have to do shit. I am the boss and you'd do well to remember who the fuck you're talking to". I gripped his collar tighter and kept my gun firmly on his head showing him I meant everything I said.

"Then act like one. What would your father say?. After all, he's the reason for all of this".

"Don't bring him into this".

"Why? Are you only starting to realise how mislead you've gone. Listen, Alexander. You've been preparing this for years and I'd hate for you to end up losing it all because of these weak feelings. You're ruthless, that is why I think so highly of you. But don't let weakness get in the way".

Liam pulled himself out of my grip and glared at me accusingly as he walked past me. I stared down at my gun that I had not long ago pointed at my best man's forehead blinded by anger. Anger because I knew what I had to do, but didn't want to do it at the same time. All these years of preparation and was I truly going to give it up for a silly little girl.

Absolutely not.

I worked from nothing. I built my empire from scratch. Love is a weakness and a mafia leader cannot have any. Weaknesses must be destroyed.

Turning my head down at the computer screen, my eyes instinctively scrunched up seeing a photo of James Richardson and all those he loved around him.

"Love is a weakness".

My phone suddenly beeped a single tone and instinctively my lips quirked up into a smile knowing that the little kitten was on the move. What Lily didn't know was that I had a tracker discreetly inserted inside the sapphire so I could know her every move.

But ever since Liam saw her at my house I was worried he might take things into his own hands. Liam was a sadistic man, more so than myself. He had done unimaginable things to innocent people and the thought of him getting hold of Lily sent shivers throughout my body. Tracking her is stalkerish, but I had to ensure that if Liam ever pursued her, then I'd know where to find them.

"Fuck me, I need to release some anger".

Matthew's POV:

I never thought I'd spend Christmas drunk and alone. I had it all. Lily, the love of my life was gone, legally separated but not yet divorced. I had to make things right. I had to beg for forgiveness.

Wiping away the beads of sweat that trickled down my head I shakily pushed myself off the sofa and stumbled over cans of beer to get to the kitchen to get myself another beer. I had nothing else to lose. My business was going bust, I had lost all my friends and most importantly my family hated me. I had it all. But I treated Lily like shit.

Grabbing another beer from my fridge, I pulled open the lid and gulped the golden liquid down in one.

Throwing the empty can against the tiled kitchen wall I stared at the fridge that had a picture of Lily and I just after our wedding day looking incredibly happy. Why did I screw it up.

Grabbing the photo from off the fridge I stumbled back into the lounge and collapsed on the sofa staring at the picture of the beautiful girl who was and still is my everything. But I ruined it all because of a stupid mistake.

Ding dong

"Who the hell could that be?" I mumbled lowly before picking myself up and rushing towards the front door.

"Yes oh"-

The door swung open, but nobody was there. It was midnight and I wasn't expecting visitors. Probably some other drunk loser knocking on people's door. Slamming the door shut, I locked the door with haste and rushed back into the lounge eager to get myself another beer but stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a figure dressed all in black in the exact place I had been sat on the sofa.

My vision was blurring progressively and as I walked closer, there face was still blurred out.

"Who are you? Lily? Is that you?".

Fear creeped up my spine as the figure stood up and walked towards me. I reached into my pocket in hopes of seeking my phone out to call the police, but it was not there.

"Hello Matthew".
