Alexander's POV:

I had dreamed of kissing her for so long, but nothing compared to kissing her at this very moment in time. I had been with plenty of girls in the past, but none had me hooked like I was with Lily. Lily was the best kiss I had ever had, so submissive begging to be taken. Her lips so ripe and tasted so sweet. I didn't want to pull away from her, but I knew my little kitten was just as confused about this kiss as I currently was.

The past fews day had been a complete rollercoaster. I spent the days drinking, sleeping and throwing myself into work to rid myself of the stress Lily was causing me. Stress of the mixed feelings swarming inside me. Stress because deep down I knew Liam was right. I was falling for the enemy's daughter and there was nothing I could do about it.

As I stared into her beautiful eyes I felt my heart skip a beat watching her small little body erupt in goosebumps. She crinkled her nose unconsciously whilst fumbling around with her fingers in confusion. My head was saying that love was a weakness, but my heart was longing this warm unusual feeling inside of me. Surrounded by people yet I have never felt so lonely. No family to help me in the years of darkness and pain. But being round Lily and her family for Christmas made my empty heart full again. I wanted and craved this new feeling.

"A-Alexander". She whispered so softly almost soothing my soul with just sound out of her mouth. She was breathtakingly beautiful and too damn innocent. The more time I spent with her, the more I gazed at her, the more I realised was that I truthfully could never hurt her. This wasn't her fight, she had no involvement in her parents past. She had already been through enough pain with Matthew and almost losing her father.

I couldn't do this anymore. I wanted this girl more than anything and I would never let anyone hurt her again. I would make sure of that.

"What is it that you want from me?" She whispered out. The colours from the bright fireworks shined off her beautiful face making my lips quirk up into a smile. I was about to risk it all for a simple beautiful girl, but it was a risk I would gladly take.

"Be mine kitten".

Her eyes widened up at me full of nothing but innocence reminding me of a child on Christmas Day morning. Her lips fell apart as she stared at me with confusion and uncertainty.

"What?" She whispered out, her voice getting quieter by the second.

My arms slowly snaked their way around her small waist and encircled her body to ensure she would not walk away from me. Pulling her body closer to mine, I stared down at my beautiful kitten and smiled at her adorable mumbling.

"I want you to be mine and mine alone kitten".

Lifting my hand up, I carefully stroked a loose strand of hair out of her face and lent in closer towards her.

"Alexander, I'm, what if you"-

"Hey, look at me Kitten. I know you're still haunted by Matthew and his actions, but I ensure you that will never give you a reason not to trust me. I would never hurt you Kitten".

Lily smiled sweetly and nodded slowly.

"Does this mean I am your"-

"Girlfriend? Hmm. I like the sound of that".

Lily's cheeks blushed a beautiful shade of pink and smiled down with her face staring at the floor.

"This is all strange to me, I've only ever been with Matthew". I could hear the sadness through her voice as she talked about the bastard who caused her such pain and torment.

"Kitten, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. I've actually never had a girlfriend before. I'm not going to lie, I have been with other girls before but I have never looked at them the way I do for you. Kitten, there's no need to rush but I want to explore these feelings I have for you. So you agree to be mine?".

"Yes" she replied back with a smile.

"Perfect, then that means I can do this".

Before Lily could reply I lent in and crashed my lips against her own.

I can't believe I'm actually doing this.

Liam's POV:

He is a fool. A complete fool for not listening to my words. I warned him what would happen if he let Lily get in his head and as the people around me celebrated the New Year, I stared through the balcony window watching my boss and the enemy engage in a passionate kiss.

Too bad his father left the mafia to him and not me. If only his father knew that Alexander had fallen in love with the enemy and was throwing away all his hard work.

At first I thought Alexander was just spending time with Lily in order to gain her trust, but slowly I realised what was happening. I don't even think Alexander knew what was happening.

But since he has completely ignored everything I told him, I will have to take matters into my own hands to ensure the job gets done.

I was in the process of taking steps to ensure I could get rid of Lily so Alexander could get back to business. It wouldn't be long until dear Lily found out her abusive ex husband was found dead in their home. I made sure to make his death look like a suicide, but also left some careless clues behind that I'm sure detectives would find.

I had spent days planning this with the ultimate goal in mind. Lily had been to the house earlier whilst Matthew was out which made the plan even better. Small clues were left behind which when pieced together would make it look like a revenge murder. An ex wife murdering her husband for his years of abuse and cheating. If I could convince the police with enough evidence to put Lily behind bars for life, then Alexander would give up on love and get on with the plan.

For someone as powerful as Matthew who was a millionaire with houses in other countries and successful businesses, he was a pathetic wimp. He was certainly who I needed to unleash the anger I had towards Alexander.

"Let's see how long you two last".
