Alexander
"Hahaha, did you see the looks on their faces as their home burnt to the ground".
Men erupted in laughter as we walked into the underground club and sat ourselves down on the sofas.
The girls cheered and paraded over to us with their skimpy bikinis and faces full of makeup. The men whistled at them and patted at their laps as the women placed themselves down on them before roaming their hands around their bodies.
"Gentlemen! Gentlemen. Tonight we finally made James Richardson fall to his knees. He now knows who we are and what we are capable of. Thanks to Alexander's brilliant love facade, the family is broken and I'm positive his children will despise him. Drinks are on the house".
Everyone cheered as Liam finished his victory speech and raised his glass up to the large groups of people.
The music started to blare and the lights dimmed low. Men began to ravish at the women and 4 of the girls got on stage and began to put on a show for my men.
But I didn't want to be here. I wanted to be alone. I felt unwell and had a splitting headache. I just wanted to be with,
"Here you are boss, you deserve one hell of a drink".
Liam handed me over my regular and I gulped it down without hesitation. I made a choice and now I wanted to drown in my sorrows and forget everything.
"You know, for a second boss I thought you'd actually fallen in love with her" Liam snickered as he gulped down his own drink.
I could feel Liam's eyes on mine piercing me with his stare. I knew exactly what he was doing.
"Don't be stupid Liam".
Liam patted me on the shoulder and placed his glass down.
"I still don't know why you didn't kill them. You had the chance to, but you left it. Why?".
I wasn't in the mood for questions and justification.
"Because killing him was too easy. I showed Lily and Ethan the true monster their dad is. Their hatred is going to be more painful for him than death. That is why, and if you're not happy with that then you're gonna simply have to accept in anyway. Now I'm not in the mood for a party and drinks. Send Sadie up to my office and leave me alone and don't bother me".
Liam's lips quirked up into a smirk as he heard the familiar name of the girl.
"Wow boss! Over her that soon? Alright, you've convinced me that you didn't love her. I'll send her right up. You certainly need a stress reliever".
Pushing myself up off the large armchair, I pushed my way through the crowds of people and ignored their words of congratulations before finally reaching the stairs leading towards my private office.
Once I reached the top of the stairs I swiftly unlocked the door and hurried myself in and slipped my jacket off.
"Shit" I yelled as the sweet familiar smell lingered around the room. I forgot that I brought her here not long ago. Her perfume was strong and it didn't help that I sprayed it around the room as her scent calmed me down when I was stressed at work.
Opening up my drawer I grabbed one of my bottles of deodorant and sprayed it around the room frantically. I hurt her. I completely broke her heart and now I had to forget about her, but it was as if life wasn't allowing that to happen.
"Boss? Are you okay?".
"Um, Sadie yes. Come in".
I watched silently as she pushed the door open revealing her toned body covered up in the red lingerie I once loved seeing her in.
