Chapter 35: Safe in my arms

Charlie yelled at people as he escorted me through the crowd. Girls and guys stared at me with stern faces wondering why they were being pushed out of the way.

Charlie kept glancing back at me with a face full of concern as he guided me through the sea of people. I noticed that he kept close to me, but never touched me. When Alexander instructed him to take me to his car he looked almost scared of him, scared of his orders regarding me.

The bouncers' eyes widened as we hurried towards the front door and hastily pushed the door open to let the both of us out.

"Get in the car and lock the door".

Charlie swiftly unlocked Alexander's car and opened the passenger side door for me.

"Where is Alexander? Is he coming?" I questioned whilst getting myself in Alexander's car.

"He's just dealing with something, he'll be here shortly. Just wait here" he replied coldly. I shuddered in fear at the thought of what Alexander was taking care of. I knew that he would not go easy on Liam. Alexander was a man of morals and hated any man putting their hands on women, Matthew for example. But when he stormed into the room and saw Liam touching me, something in his eyes changed. His eyes turned black with rage and his body trembled as he realised what Liam was doing. The way he looked at me made me quiver in fear. I just prayed that he'd come to me soon.

Clicking my seatbelt into place I picked at my nails furiously eagerly anticipating Alexander's return.

Alexander

"You've got some nerve touching what's mine. She's off limits to everyone, especially you. How dare you touch her without her consent".

"Bad jumping to conclusions, perhaps your little precious kitten liked it, wanted more maybe".

"You fucker" I yelled out and threw my fist straight at his hideous face effectively knocking him back into the wall. He let out a deep grunt and pushed himself up off the floor.

"You certainly pick your women well. She has some fine assets. Maybe once you finish with her, you'll let me have a go with her. After all, this is what you do to all women you meet".

Grabbing him by the scruff of his collar, I pulled him towards me and stared him down showing him the burning rage I had that was ready to be unleashed. But he didn't care. He'd seen it all. He wasn't afraid of me and I hated that.

"You will never come near her, ever. She is mine and that's how it is. You disappointed that your little stunt to frame her didn't work. I know you killed Matthew and from what Lily told me, the police are onto a man that was seen lurking near the house. You are so smart after all".

Liam's menacing expression changed into a blank face, anger swarming in his eyes as a nerve was hit.

"No worries, I have other plans".

His disgusting smirk came back and shoved me back suddenly.

"Look at you Alex, what the hell have you become? Your father would be ashamed of you. Everything we worked for and you're throwing it all away over a stupid girl, the girl you wanted to hurt".

Liam wiped away the blood that started to drip out of the corner of his mouth.

"Plans change Liam. I am not going to hurt her and neither are you. If you do anything to hurt her, it'll cost you your life. Stay away from her. If you so much as look at her, speak to her or even touch her, then I'll kill you myself".
