Chapter 42: Family reunion

We had been travelling for what felt like hours, but in reality we had only been flying for 1 hour. We didn't have much longer until we arrived, but my thoughts were starting to get to me.

Alexander had persistently offered me food and practically begged me to eat and get some rest, but I couldn't. The idea of food made me feel nauseous. All I wanted to do was hug and comfort my mum. I couldn't even begin to imagine the thoughts flowing through her mind.

"Come here and sit on my lap kitten".

Alexander beckoned me over away from the window and patted his lap with a smile but a hint of a smirk on his lips.

Sighing in frustration, I walked away from my spot beside the window and slowly walked towards Alexander before sitting down on his lap.

"Good girl" he whispered into my ear before kissing the outer part gently.

He lent back on the large sofa and pulled me down with him before lifting his hand up and stroked my hair softly. I would never admit it to him, but I absolutely loved him stroking my hair. He could do it all day any day. It was so soothing and put all my anxieties and worries to rest.

"You're too quiet kitten. Talk to me. Tell me anything. Why don't you tell me how your mum and dad met".

A smile came onto my lips as I remembered hearing the story of how they met. It was too cute and honestly it was the ultimate relationship goals.

"It's a super cheesy way, but apparently my dad was infatuated with my mum. They met in a nightclub and he fell in love at first glance. From what mum told me he wouldn't give up and tried to win her over countless times. He somehow eventually managed to win her over and they've been inseparable ever since. They're so in love it's almost sick".

Alexander hummed in response and as I glanced up at him I noticed he was smirking as if what I said was funny.

"What's funny?".

Alexander's eyes widened as he stared down at me.

"Sorry, your dad is a renowned business man, he didn't strike me as a desperate man begging for a woman's affections".

"I know right. Guess love does make you a little crazy".

Alexander lifted me up so I was now straddling his lap.

"I guess it does Kitten".

Alexander lent in and slowly latched his lips onto my exposed neck and left hot trails of kisses down until he stopped at my collarbone.

"Have you ever joined the mile high club Kitten?".

"Um, no".

"Do you want to change that?" he whispered huskily into my ear before playfully biting my ear lobe.

"Y-Yes please".

Did I really say please. You awkward human.

"So fucking adorable, but your wish is my command".

And before I could say another word Alexander laid me down on the couch and began to undress me quickly.

Ooooh boy.

"Hey honey".

I embraced my dad as he opened the front door before letting both Alexander and I in.

Alexander said he was going to go to the office after we had landed as he didn't want to intrude on this difficult moment. But I wanted him with me. He was my comfort, my safety net and the only one I wanted by my side.
