Liam's POV:

"I can't believe him".

I still couldn't get over what I had seen. Alexander standing protectively before Lily Richardson who happened to be wearing his hoodie. Alexander was a ruthless man who always ensured every mission, every task was complete. But I couldn't tell if everything he did was genuine or a scheme.

But Alexander NEVER had women round his home mission or not, he never brought a woman home. Seeing the way he was with her made me feel uneasy. He was falling for her and falling hard. He tried to be subtle, but I could see the way he held her reassuringly. I could see the concern in his eyes when he looked at her after seeing me in his home. He's becoming blind to the ultimate mission and I know he'd hate it if I let him get distracted and ruin the whole task.

I was his second in command for a reason and I was not going to let him destroy everything he worked so hard to achieve, especially when it was standing right in front of him.

Anger coursed through my blood hearing her bastard father survived the attack. Only James Richardson would survive such a deadly hit and run. He was like a cockroach, he couldn't die. But I'm sure he knows that someone is after him and maybe it is time to move on to another family member so he knows that it's not only him that's being hunted down.

Alexander is becoming too soft with his little kitten. Perhaps it's time to show him that love is in-fact a weakness and you always must get rid of weaknesses. Lily was the weakness to everyone, her father, her mother and maybe Alexander too.

"Love is pain".

Lily's POV: (Christmas Day)

"Alexander, welcome. Please come in" my mum chimed with a huge smile on her face.

I smiled reassuringly at Alexander who's eyes instantly fell on mine and smiled back.

"Thank you Mrs Richardson" he muttered whilst squeezing himself through the door.

"Please, call me Isabella".

Mum patted me on the shoulder before rushing away eager to finish up on the Christmas dinner and probably ready to catch dad red handed stealing a stuffing ball. Mum already scolded him for eating 2 pigs in blankets and 3 roast potatoes. Who could blame him when mum's cooking was the best.

"Merry Christmas Kitten".

"Merry Christmas Alexander".

Alexander's smile was brighter than all the lights around the house. Alexander wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his warm musky smelling chest. Instinctively my arms wrapped around his shoulders and nuzzled my face in his chest.

"Ahem, lunch is ready".

Jumping back in fright, I turned to face my dad who was leaning against the kitchen door with his Christmas hat on and a huge smile on his face.

"Merry Christmas Alexander". Dad walked over  and held his hand out towards him which Alexander took instantaneously and shook it firmly.

"You too Sir". Alexander was so respectful towards my family.

"No, call me James".

Dad pulled away from him and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

This Christmas was different for us. Obviously we were all still shaken up by the recent events, but my dad was allowed out of hospital and since being out was banned from doing anything, literally anything.
