Lily's POV:
Playing with my pale fingers I kept my eyes focused down on my lap, way too embarrassed to look up at Alexander as he drove us to his house. I hated myself for him always having to find me in such states. I despised myself for always being the same old damsel in distress that he needed to save. I had no idea of why he was taking me to his house, but I couldn't care less, I just wanted comfort.
"Here, put this on".
I failed to notice that the car had come to a stop and we were waiting at a red light.
Glancing up at Alexander my eyes widened as I held out a very large blanket towards me with a small smile on his face. Slowly reaching my hand out I grabbed the blanket from his hands but didn't make a move.
A deep chuckle escaped him as he pulled the blanket from my hand and threw it around my body before turning his eyes back to the road and pressing down on the accelerator once the light turned green.
"Are you feeling a little warmer now kitten?".
I turned my head to the window with a huge smile on my face nodding instantaneously to his question.
"Thank you for your hoodie" my voice was quiet and throat was sore due to being out in the storm.
"You're welcome kitten, but you now owe me twice as I believe you still haven't given me back the first hoodie I gave you".
I could feel my cheeks heat up as he let out a deep velvety laugh but I couldn't look him in the eye. My body started to sink further in the seat as he continued to taunt me, but who could blame me when his hoodie smelt like heaven and was 2 sizes too big on me.
"Once you give a girl a hoodie, the chances of getting it back are slim" I replied back defensively. But judging from his obnoxious laugh he clearly wasn't falling for my excuse.
"Hmm, well if you won't give it back then I guess some punishment will be in order".
My head whipped over to Alexander to see if he there was a smile or hint of a joke, but instead he was looking straight ahead with an annoying smirk on his lips.
"Punishment? Ok chill I'll give you back your dang hoodie".
Alexander shook his head before staring over at me with his infectious smile.
"I'm just joking Kitten, the hoodie is yours now, I had no intention of taking it back from you".
My racing heart slowly fell back to a normal as he revealed that I could in fact keep the hoodie, but the thought of receiving some form of punishment from Alexander made my skin tingle and stomach clench in excitement. He had the type of aura which made people weak at the knees, the power and dominance radiating off him like a heater, he was captivating and intriguing but there was no way I could get into another relationship, not so soon. Could I ever trust a man again, that was the more pressing question.
"We're here kitten".
Looking away from Alexander, I turned my attention towards the window and looked out at the sight before me.
The car was parked beside a beautiful expensive looking house. It looked immaculate and untouched, however, the more I looked around the more I realised how there were not many neighboring houses. Perhaps because this house was fairly big, but there were other large houses nearby.
"You live here?" I asked staring at him in disbelief. Alexander nodded with a small smile on his face.
"Come Kitten".
Alexander switched the car off and swiftly unbuckled his seat belt before stepping out of the car.
Unbuckling my seat belt, I grabbed my bag and gripped the top of the blanket.
