Tessa

This job is long and hard... yeah the job!

I thought to my self while counting the money on my cashier and finally handing them over at the front desk where Clara was.

"So, how are you feeling? It's officially the end of your first day" she happily said leaning back at her chair.

"Well its a lot harder than it looks" I said with a smile.

"It sure is, and by the way, I had some great compliments from a few customers saying how polite and smiley you were"

"Oh did you now?" I said blushing but feeling extremely proud for leaving a good mark on my first day.

"Yeah, keep up the good work. See you tomorrow then?"

"Sure, goodnight Clara" I waved her off and put on my white coat. The weather was still a huge mess but thank God there was no more snow.

Walking out in the freezing cold, my eyes landed on the black mustang parked near our front door.

God, I missed this

I took a huge breath and walked over at him. My mimd was running wild of all the different scenarios that the first conversation would end up being. My heart was ready to burst out from the nervousness trying to think of a way to sound lay back or cool.

Cool my ass... you can't wait till he takes you again!

I mentally slapped my brain for that. Pure thoughts Tessa, pure thoughts!

As I sat down, closing the door behind me and ready to talk, I froze on what was next to me.

Here we go again

"H-hardin?" I asked all too quietly, trying not to make him any angrier than he apparently was. His jaw was clenched like stone and his hand wasn't leaving the wheel were he gripped it tightly. The caring Hardin I knew was all gone and once again, I was reminded of the harsh truth.

Hardin was a murderer

Forced events or not, he was able to kill another human being, not afraid to make his hands dirty or pull the trigger, just like that. His bloody clothes, face and knuckles only screamed one thing.

He killed someone

"Who was it?" I asked, shifting in my seat, not meeting his eyes.

"What?" he asked, finally turning his attention to me.

You noticed I am here, how nice of you

"Who did you kill?" I asked looking down at the floor. I knew whatever I said hurt his insides, but after coming clean, I knew that If I had to accept him and love him, I would have to accept all of him. And I did, I really did. I could live with the fact that he was a killer, but I couldn't live with was this vomiting site of blood screaming "murder".

"I didn't kill anyone... not yet" he replied and started the engine, now heading towards the busy highway.

"Listen, If you don't want to talk about it, we won't. I know what you are and what you are not capable of. But... I also know that I have jumped in conclusions in the past and it wasn't fair, so I'll just let it be" I softly said not wanting to add any more pressure in him. I've been unfair towards every situation he was in and the arguments only fired up because I never cared to listen to his side of view. Not today. I haven't seen him for weeks, and I kmew there must be some serious explanation for him to show up like that.

"Are you scared Teresa?" He asked and I gasped at the sudden change of attitude. My breathing quickened and I froze once again in my seat.

Teresa? Oh hell no
