Ok, so insomnia is a bitch and I'm still up. So here is another chapter enjoy! Story idea from -Line-28-
Third POV
When Gwaine got to Merlin's chambers, he gently set him down on one of the patient beds in Gaius' chambers. He knew what he was doing for the most part and set to work. He started by cleaning the blood off of Merlin's face and bandaged those wounds first. After that, he moved on to the bigger wounds that needed tended to right at the moment.
Most of the wounds had been cleaned when Leon walked in to check in on them. He saw Merlin and walked over to Gwaine.
"How bad is it? Do I need to get Gaius? I know where he is." Gwaine was done talking for the day and simply nodded. He was plotting at the moment. Plotting what? Plotting revenge. Duh. Gwaine was fed up with Arthur and him thinking he was better than everybody else. His anger was understandable, but his actions were not.
---Time Skip To When Gaius Arrives---
Gaius hobbles in the room and searches for Merlin. His eyes go soft as he sees him, he walks over to the bed and inspects him.
"You did a good job, Sir Gwaine. These look clean, I just need to check them to make sure they're not infected." As he removed the bandages, anger grew in his eyes. He started ordering Gwaine around to get him things that he needed. Merlin had bruised all over his body. There was barely any skin that wasn't discolored. As Gaius was done checking everything, Merlin began to wake up. As he did, he moaned in pain. He curled up into himself and started crying. Gwaine went to comfort him, but Gaius held him back. Gaius walked to the other side of the bed and sat down on the conveniently placed chair.
"Oh my boy, you got beat up pretty hard, huh? You have been placed on house arrest until I say otherwise. So don't even think of leaving. If you do, I will get guards to watch you. Understand?" And Merlin did. So he nodded. Then he curled up more and sobbed harder. Gaius sighed and got up.
"Sir Gwaine, I hate to leave him, but there has been an outbreak in the lower town and I need to prevent it from spreading further. Do you mind watching him?" Gaius spoke with an uncertainty in his voice.
"Of course not Gaius, what do I need to do?" Of course the knight was going to be with his best friend. He wouldn't leave if he had to.
"Give him two drops of the purple liquid every four hours and the blue one every eight. If he wakes up in a panic, give him the green liquid. Make sure he stays as still as he can be. He broke a few ribs. Keep him entertained and don't let him leave. He can read some books to keep him from being too bored. I will send in another knight to help you keep watch. Don't touch him unless necessary. Keep him hydrated." With they, Gaius walked off to the lower town.
---Time Skip---
Arthur POV
I almost killed Merlin. He is probably almost dead. And it's my fault. I have to make it up to him. I have to go see him.
Third POV
Merlin has tried every trick he knows to get out of that wretched bed. He's so BORED! He has read half of the most boring book ever and is determined to finish. He is turning the page as the door opens. Figuring it's the knight Gaius said he would send, he doesn't look up, but Gwaine does.
"I told you to stay away. Go now and you will remain unharmed." So it's not a knight. It's Arthur. Ok. The king does not heed the warning and walks closer to his friend. Merlin starts to panic. Arthur is coming closer and he's panicking.
Merlin's POV
Arthur is coming closer to me! I'm going to die. I will die right now. And nothing will stop him. It's just like Ealdor. He wants to kill me and I will die. Then he will laugh, and celebrate that he killed me. Just like with Freya. I start to panic. Not a good thing. Words were spoken, but I can't hear anything clearly. I curl into myself and beg myself not to cry. I can't cry. Crying brings more punishment. That means more pain. That's not good. A sword is drawn from a sheath. And I start to cry. He's going to kill me. Just how I thought I would go. By the king's hand. I wait for the sword to strike me, but it doesn't happen.
Third POV
Gwaine drew his sword. He was ready to defend his friend. No matter what. So, he advanced or ward towards Arthur. And ran him off. He put his sword back in its sheath and slowly walked over to Merlin. He had somehow gotten into a smaller ball and had started crying again. He was mumbling incoherent things. Gwaine saw no other way to help then to gently touch Merlin on his shoulder. Bad idea. Merlin flinched back so much he almost fell off the bed and onto the floor.
"Merlin, mate. It's ok. He left. You're ok. Look at me please. He's gone. Ok? You're ok. I promise. He left. It's time for you're purple drink now. Want to take it so Gaius doesn't kill me?" He gave a small chuckle and walked over to the table with the liquids and grabbed the purple one.
"Here mate. You have to take this ok?" Merlin had un-curled somewhat so he could drink. He downed the drink in one mouthful. He made a gagging noise and pretended to spit the liquid out.
"That was the most horrible thing I've ever had!" He exclaimed. Gwaine laughed at that. Glad that his friend had talked to him.
"Ok mate, I have a plan, want to hear it?"

Ok, I am so sorry, I cannot write a small story. I will try to make some of them shorter than this. I should have it out soon, maybe tonight. Who knows? Have a good day!
