I hope you guys like this one! I don't know how it'll turn out. I'm slightly sleep deprived. So, it might turn out horribly. Also, my cat got a mouse, and apparently he does it all the time, I've never seen him do it before. So, I hope you guys can enjoy this picture of him.

I know it looks fake, but it's real

I know it looks fake, but it's real. Happy reading!

There were bandits attacking the knights, the king and Merlin. It was almost a fair fight. The bandits all had magic, and Merlin was the only one with magic on the other side. And he couldn't use it. This didn't stop Merlin from doing everything in his power to save his friends. Even if it meant that his life would be at risk.

The fight was going well actually, half of the bandits were either dead or unconscious, so that was good. Only one of the knights was out, Leon had a sprained ankle so he wasn't able to fight. He would if he was allowed, but Merlin said that he would take away his sword for two weeks. He didn't think that he had that power; but he didn't want to risk it.

You see, they were on a much needed hunting trip and things happened to go south. The bandits attacked at dawn and they were prepared. The only reason that they hadn't killed the whole of the knights was because Merlin had to go get some more firewood, so he was awake when they attacked.

"Come on guys! This wasn't supposed to be this hard! We just needed to get the boy! Let's head out, we can come back later." The leader of the group said. They all started to leave, but one bandit didn't hear. He was so close to Merlin, and he just wanted to move up the ranks in the group. This would do it for sure.

He ended up shooting Merlin, it wasn't a killing shot, but if it wasn't treated soon; he would die. The bandits had all evacuated the camp and were all long gone. Except for the one that had shot Merlin- he had been killed by Gwaine.

They all rushed to Merlin's aid. "Alright, mate. What do we need to do? You need to tell us."

"Take me to the lake. Then go away from there. I will be fine if you do that." His voice was weak, but he was losing blood fast. The knights were confused to say the least, Merlin just wanted them to take him to the lake? Then leave him. Why would they do that? But, they trusted Merlin's word, so they would do as he told them.

The journey was taking too long. It had been three hours, Merlin was muttering incoherently and had taken to humming. The knights had almost forgot that he was injured. He always hummed and sang along the trips. But this humming was different. This humming was hoarse and jagged. It didn't have the smoothness that it usually did when he hummed. They were losing time.

They finally got to the lake. Percival was carrying Merlin to the shore of the lake. "We have to go now. Come on. If we don't, he might not make it."

The knights all reluctantly left Merlin on the shore alone. They then went to a clearing about half a mile away from the shore and set up camp. And they waited.

Merlin was still losing blood, but it had slowed down. The lake had come to life. It was rippling and almost quaking the ground. It was almost to the point where the knights were trying to convince Percival to let them go check on Merlin. He stood firm, not letting them go.

Back at the lake, the water had calmed and a young woman was walking on top of the water. She was in a red dress and had brown hair with eyes to match. She was in one word- beautiful.

As soon as she saw Merlin bleeding out on the shore, she rushed to his side. "Oh, Merlin. What have you done this time? I swear, if I have to save your life one more time, I might lose it." She was really worried for Merlin. He had never been this bad before. She could always get a response from him at least. Today, he was still muttering things that she couldn't even decipher.

But, since she was magic, she could save him. And she would.

It took all her power to save him, and she was quite drained from it. But, she did it, she saved Merlin. He was formulating a story for how he was still alive. He had come up with that he knew  a healer passed by the lake every day at the same time. He also came up with that the healer knew his mother and that he often stayed in Ealdor in the wintertime. The plan wasn't the best, but it was better than telling them that his girlfriend who lived in the lake had healed him. So, he went with the healer plan.

"Merlin, have you come up with a story yet? You really should make it a good one. Some of those knights are pretty smart when it comes to things like this."

"I do, Freya. I owe you one, see you in a couple of months. I'll bring some strawberries."

"Be sure that you do."
