What a terrible title! Happy reading!
Third POV
It had been a stressful couple of weeks for the prince and his Knights. So, they did the only thing they could think of. They went on a hunting trip. And since the prince had to go, so did Merlin. What joy. It was just the prince's closest Knights with him. Them being Lancelot, Gwaine, Elyan, Leon and Percival. They had a whole day of hunting to get only a couple of rabbits and a deer. Merlin had tried so hard so that only a couple of animals had to be brutally murdered.
Dinner was ready and Merlin just wanted to go to sleep. But the author isn't that nice is she? So instead of being able to retire to his bedroll, he had to stay out by the fire with the Knights. Merlin had zoned out long ago and had no idea of what was going on. But when he was bumped on his side, he jolted back into awareness. He jumped up from the log and was ready to run away if he needed to.
"Woah mate, no need to do that. We're just having a competition won who had the worst scar. Want to join?" That was the last thing that Merlin wanted to do. He still had scabs from the last time he had to save the prat's life.
"N-no thanks Gwaine! I'm good! I don't have any scars anyways." He said with fake happiness.
"Oh come on Merlin! It's just a little game! Humor us. Please?" Elyan made a face that looked like a pouty face, but it was rather unattractive. Several sounds of agreement followed and Merlin tried to run only to be stopped by Leon.
"Come on Merlin! It can't be that bad! Just show us."
"N-no thank you. I-I'm really good guys. Just l-leave me alone p-please."
"Guys, maybe we should leave him alone, he doesn't have to show us." Came the trying comment from Lancelot. He knew his friend had too many scars to count.
"It's fine Lance. How bad can it be? We'll just see his scrawny stomach!"
And the argument was over. Gwaine had taken Merlin's shirt off. Everybody was shocked to say the least.
"H-how did you get so many Merlin?"
"I don't want to talk about it. Leave me alone." So the warlock grabbed his shirt and he ran.
The Knights couldn't catch up with the small framed boy. They chased him until they lost sight of him. So they made their way back to camp and finished their dinner in silence.
Merlin's POV
Shit. They say all my scars. They hate me now. I have to get out of here. They stopped following me after two minutes of chasing me. It's a good thing I'm fast, I don't want them to catch me.
I don't know how long I run, but it's been a long time. Looks like those times back in Ealdor when I had to run were actually helpful. I end up at the lake where I said goodbye to Freya. As I get to the shore, I break down crying.
I cry for so long. They hate me now. I can't go back. They'll kill me for sure. I feel a familiar presence, who can that be?
"They didn't know about them Merlin. You know that right? They were just having fun." I sob harder. It can't be her. No it can't be her. She died.
"Go away please. I don't want to talk right now." Look at me; talking to a person that's not really there. I've gone mad.
"Merlin, it's really me I promise. Remember where we were going to go? A lake with some cows? Remember? Merlin look at me." The tone left no room for argument, so I reluctantly looked up at her. She was beautiful as ever. My Freya.
I had stopped crying as much, now just sniffling. "You have to go back Merlin. You know that right? Arthur needs you." I nod and sit there for a couple more minutes before getting up and walking back to the Knights and the clot pole.
---Time Skip---
Thank goodness my magic can feel Arthur. If it couldn't, I would be lost. I see the camp and all but one of the Knights are sleeping. Gwaine is still awake, keeping watch and I do not want to deal with him, so I go to a clearing I saw a while back and sleep there. At least when I wake up from a nightmare, I won't wake anybody else up.
---Time Skip---
I woke up before everybody else so I start to do my chores. I water the horses, make breakfast and take down most of the camp. In an hour, I'm done with all of my things and I have also cleaned the deer that was killed yesterday.
It was time to wake all of them, and I did it in the best way possible. I banged pans together. You should have seen them jump. Almost made me forget about last night. I laughed at them and poured their stew. Trying my best to act normal.
"So....... are we just not going to talk about last night?" Leon asked. And I moved on to polishing Arthur's boots. If I act like I didn't hear him, they might leave it alone. Right?
"I think we do need to talk. Will you tell us about them Merlin?" Elyan questioned quietly. It's like they were walking on eggshells around me.
"I would rather we not talk about it. I didn't even want you guys to see them. So please, leave me alone." I really didn't want them to see them, and I don't want to talk about it, and I definitely want to be left alone, but I will have to tell them what happened to me and why they didn't know about it.
"LIKE HELL WE'RE GOING TO LEAVE YOU ALONE!! YOU ARE COVERED IN SO MANY SCARS, EVEN MY MOST EXPERIENCED KNIGHTS DON'T HAVE THAT MANY SCARS MERLIN! YIU HAVE TO TELL US WHAT HAPPENED!" Ok, so Arthur is pissed off. Isn't that fun? I don't reply. I start to pack up the bedrolls and prepare the horses for leaving.
As I mount my horse, the others follow and I fall to the back of the line. As we go into a rather uncomfortable silence, we trek back to Camelot.

Third POV
It had been about an hour since they had left and nobody was talking. Until Metin spoke.
"I got most of them from my home. The people in my village aren't the nicest to live with when you're a bastard child. Some of them I got from when people kidnap me. They want information on the castle and Arthur. They don't get it of course, but they think they will.
Some of them are actually from Morgana, she somehow manages to find me when I'm alone in the woods collecting herbs for Gaius.
I've been burned, cut, beat, whipped, starved, drowned, suffocated and even raped so that some evil people can get into Camelot. They don't get any real information though. I always manage to escape. That's all you get to know. Don't press for more." Most of the Knights had started crying. Their small friend had gone through so much and he still won't tell anybody anything about the castle or the people inside it. How the hell did they get so lucky?
The rest of the trip was silent. They got back to Camelot and left Merlin to put the horses away along with all their supplies. So he did.
As he put things away, the Knights had a meeting; without Arthur.
"We have to keep him safe. He's been through too much. We need to watch him at all times. Ok?" They all nodded and came up with a schedule with their tight group squad mind powers.
Merlin was never alone again, all the Knights learned of his magic and were cool with it. Merlin lived happily ever after.
