This is just a random one. Merlin is being hurt in it so be warned. Happy reading!!

Third POV

Merlin really had no idea how he got in these situations, but he always did. Right now, he was chained to a wall with some rather tight shackles. He had tried to get out of them using magic, but they only got tighter when Merlin tried. So that means that his captors either knew he had magic or they were just careful.

Speaking of his captors, he could hear footsteps coming his way from down the hallway. They were a good ways away; that didn't matter though. Merlin had enhanced senses so he could hear things very far away as well as having great eyesight, smell and feeling. In short, Merlin could see better than a hawk, smell better than a wolf and felt things ten times worse than the average person. Which meant torture was horrible for him.

"So, you're the king's servant? That means you know about all his weak points. And you're going to tell me about them. Or else."

"You know what? I've never understood that saying. It's just like counting to three. What comes after three? Most of the time it's nothing. But please do tell me the 'or else' I'm dying to know."

SMACK

"That's enough out of you boy. If you don't cooperate, I will torture you until you do. So please, let's get this over with quickly."

"You know what? I was planning on not telling you. I mean, I quite like it in here and I do enjoy the color scheme you have down here. Black on grey with undertones of brown. Beautiful. How did you come up with it?"

"Hush boy. You will tell me what I want to know or you will be killed by my hand."

Merlin sucked in a breath. "You see though, if you kill me, then you won't get any information on the king. And we wouldn't want that would we? That would go against you whole baddie theme. Killing someone before you get the information you need. Just isn't smart. I think you're rather thick to be saying you'll be killing me before you get answers."

"Enough boy! You will tell me what I want to know and you will do it now. What's the king's biggest weakness?"

"I don't know! How am I supposed to know? I only know that he hates me telling him what to do and when I make fun of him!"

"You can make fun of the king? Without being killed? That shouldn't be allowed. Now, tell me what his weakness is."

"I already told you. I don't know. Can I leave now?"

"No! Come on in here Thomas. I need your help. I told you what to do right?"

A small nod was given. "Good. I need you to do it. Please."

"You're going to torture me and you say thank you? Who does that?"

"I said enough boy!"

Merlin's POV

Well talking wasn't going to get me out of this one. This man -I named him Gerald- would indeed being torturing me. And that was not good. I didn't do well with that. Hopefully, Arthur or one of the Knights had noticed I've been missing and have started looking for me. Though I seriously doubt it. Why would someone come after a lowly servant like me? "Thomas" drags me out of the cell that I was in and ties me to a post in the center of a room. Gerald laughs and walks into the room. I can smell something leather, but I'm not facing him, so I can't see it. "Merlin, since you have decided to keep me in the dark about the king's weakness, I have decided to beat it out of you. Now, this is a new invention that I made. It is like a whip, but with several ends on it. And on the ends of the ends, there's metal balls. Please let me know how it feels."

And before I knew it, WHIP he had whipped my back. It hurt like hell and I couldn't help but cry out. He hit me again and I heard my shirt rip. He was yelling every time he struck me. My ears were about to start bleeding, I could tell. From my crying out to Gerald yelling, it was too much for me. I fell down and tried my best to cover my ears. But that made it worse, I and blood on my arms so when I went to cover my ears, I could only smell my blood. This made my head pound and my heart race. I had to close my eyes because my vision kept un-focusing on the ground in front of me. "Are you ready to tell me yet boy? Or do I need to bring out another of my new inventions?"

"I think you've done enough. And if my weakness wasn't obvious, it's Merlin right here." Thank god Arthur had shown up. I'm not sure I could take it much longer. He ran Gerald through and ran after Thomas. Leaving me all alone. The screams of Thomas echoed all around the room. It was so loud. I couldn't take it anymore so I curled up and started crying. It was too loud. Too bright. Too painful.

I don't know how long I was crying, but Arthur had eventually showed up. "Merlin, you need to tell me what's happening so I can help. Just tell me what to do."

"Sensory overload. Just get me out of here then leave me alone for a bit. I'll come find you as soon as it's passed."

Arthur had gotten me out of that dreadful place and had left me in a clearing by myself. It had been about an hour before I was ready to find him. So I did. He was setting up a camp for us -rather unsuccessfully- and had already started a small fire. "You need any help?"

"Merlin! You really scared me back there! I thought you were dying! Don't do that again."

"I'll try not to."

And we sat in a comfortable silence the whole way back to Camelot and never spoke of that day again.
