Part 15 - What a gruesome way to die huh? -

- No, I told you that I'm not letting you get hurt, I'm going alone if no other dragons wants to come. She hisses at me and I scratch her.
- I am going to try my best not to die, but this is what has to be done.

"I still have no clue why he wants to kill you.." Luna says and I smile weakly. - I might've stolen something of him without knowing. They all look at me with big eyes. "What did you take?" Thunder asks. I take out my necklace. - This was apparently his, I didn't know that when I took it, I've had it for years now.. "Isn't that the necklace you told us about when we were still newly born?" I nod.
- It is, I did not know it belonged to anyone. "That's a stupid reason to kill anyone, just because you found and took it gives him no reason to kill you." I shrug. - All men are the same, they want everything for themselves.

I feel the wind getting colder and I sigh.
- It's getting late, we need sleep and a fire. They nod and go off to gather wood, when I can't see them anymore I walk a little bit closer to the edge and watch out for anyone else. I hear something crack and spin around and see a wild razorwhip. I watch it come closer before falling down on the ground. I run to her and crouch down and look after wounds. I see an arrow on her shoulder armor and gasp.
- Who did this to you?.. I ask with a lowered voice.

"Avira!" I hear Snow and put my hand up.
- Silent. I say and she puts her ears down in an apologetic way. "What happened?" Luna asks and comes closer. - She has an arrow sticking out in the shoulder, I'm afraid that if I take it out it's gonna kill her.. Luna smells the arrow and hisses. "This arrow is from the man that we are after." I get big eyes. - What? I ask shocked. She nods and closes her eyes.
"There is only one way to get the poison of her system.." - No, we are not going back there, there is no way.

"Can't we just sneak in to her? We need her pretty quickly for the dragon to survive."
I hiss a little but flinch when the dragon groans in pain. "Lay still, we are going to help you." Luna reassures her and nudges her a little.

- Fine.. we can see if we have any ways of sneaking in.. I say after some time and they agree. - Thunder, Snow? Do you guys think you could carry her? "Sure, it's going to get heavy tho." Thunder says. - We can take small breaks on some of the islands around.
When we are ready we fly up and are on the way to Berk, for what feels like the hundred time.

We hover over the village, covered in the night sky. - I hope she's awake.. I whisper.
"If not she's going to be." I snicker a little before we find a way to her house without anyone noticing. I knock on the door and a few minutes the old lady is looking at me.
- Avira? Does your parents know you're here? She writes on the ground. I shake my head.
- They do not and I want to keep it that way, we have a dragon that needs your help..

She looks at the razorwhip and gets big eyes when she sees the arrow. - Can you help? I ask worried. She nods and writes. - I can but I don't have all the ingredients to the medicine, think you can get it? - I can, how long does she have left? - 5 hours. I nod and get the paper to the ingredients. - I can go alone, stay here and rest. "I can come with you." I hear and spin around. - Stormfly! I say, I run over to her and hug her. "Hey hatchling, how are you?"
- I'm fine, just on the edge with an upcoming battle and this razorwhip..

"Battle? Do you need Berks help?"
- No need, my father wouldn't want to help me anyway.. I get hit on my head with a staff and I look at Gothi and I remember the ingredients.
- You sure mom won't mind you helping her rebellious daughter? "I'm sure she's not going to mind, just know that she doesn't know you're here." - Okay..Can you watch over my dragons too Gothi? I don't want them getting into any trouble with the village.

She nods and I jump on Stormfly and we take off and start looking for ingredients. It takes about an hour before all the ingredients are found and we return to Gothi. I give her all the things and she starts to make the medicine. I sit down and watch her do her thing. Maybe 10-20 minutes later the medicine is ready and she gives it to the razorwhip. - It is going to take some time before she is going to wake up. She writes and I nod.

- We can take her back to our place, when she is better she can go back to the wild. She nods, agreeing and Thunder and Snow takes her and I hug Gothi before saying bye to her and fly back towards the island we are staying for a little.

Thunder and Snow puts the razorwhip down calmly close to the fire place. Snow puts the wood on fire and we all fall asleep. I wake up when the sun hits my eyes and watch my dragons and the razorwhip wake up too.
- Are you feeling better? I ask her and she nods. "Yes, thank you.." I smile a little.
- You're welcome to leave whenever you want. She nods. "Then I think I'm going to leave now then.. thanks for everything." We bid farewell and watch her fly off.

- Hungry? I ask and they nod and we eat. I hear something shooting and run to the edge of the island and look at the enemy island. I gasp when I see men shooting at some dragons, making them fall into the water. I hiss and clench my fists. - He needs to go down! I say angrily and my dragons nod. "But you don't want us to help." Luna points out.
- You're right.. I say and flinch when I hear dragons roar in pain while falling.

- Fuck.. we need to get the dragons up! I say and jump on Luna. - Come on.. dive down to the water. I say and she does. I look for the dragons under water and when I see some we swim to get them up. We swim up and back to the island, carefully placing the dragons down.

They all throw up water and things they've eaten. I sigh and look back at the island.
- They've stopped.. I say and my dragons nod. I look at the five other dragons, trying to find out what type of furies they are. "These two are Nightlights Avi." Thunder says and I walk over to them and study them.

The spotted ones eyes opens up and stare at me with red - white eyes. I yelp and my heart beats fast. He hisses lowly and stands up. - Shh.. I want to help, I'm not a threat. I say, voice cracking. "Why can you talk to us?" He asks confused. - My own dragons licked my wounds, I started to understand them. He looks around and sees my dragons. He sits down and the rest does too.

"Why do you want to help us?" He asks.
- I don't want dragons to get hurt, no one deserves that. I answer and he slightly nods.
"So that's why you saved us?" The blue ish night fury asks and I nod. - I would save any dragon that happened to. "Well.. thank you, are we allowed to go?" The spotted one asks and I nod. - Of course you are, just stay safe out there, key? They nod and fly away.

I hear yells and run over to the edge again. I see a big man through my binoculars thingy. I see him speaking/yelling at his men, probably about the furies that they shot down, he might be wondering where they are. This could have been a good chance to kill him.. I think but shake it off, I don't want to risk it going wrong.

"We could take him down now, he is distracted." - I thought that too Luna, but what if it goes wrong? "What about not thinking about that? This could end the whole thing, we've tried to get him down for months!" Thunder says and I sigh. - Okey.. I say and they look at me with big eyes. - We'll do it. I say and jump on Snow. - We need to shoot where he or his soldiers can't see us, so in the clouds.. we fly up to the clouds and fly closer to the island.

- I swear, if this goes wrong I don't know what to do. I whisper, shaking on Snow's back.
"This will go fine, don't worry." Luna reassures and I take a deep breath.
- Okay, shoot! I command and they shoot the island, exploding people. I see all the soldiers are down but the boss still standing, we saved him for the last.
I nod and they fire and I hear him scream.

I breath out and fly down to look at the destruction we caused. "He is actually gone." The dragons say and I nod. - Finally. I say and we land to make sure. The dragons growl at the smell of fire and I grimace. I walk over to the man and look at him laying dead on the ground. - What a gruesome way to die huh? I ask and kneel down. - I'm sorry, but you deserved it. I say and stand up and look around me. - We have to lay low for a little while, people are going to hear about it and come here. We take off and go back to our actual home.

I walk inside of my house and put the papers up again, only missing the war plans that I got Thunder to burn. I look at the family picture and feel tears falling down my cheeks.
- Even if I don't want to admit it, I do miss them. I say out loud and the dragons sigh.
"They are your family after all, it's difficult being away." Luna speaks and I sit down on a chair. - Did I make a mistake, leaving Berk I mean? I ask.

"If you want to go back, we'll be there for you." Snow says and I smile weakly. - Thanks, you are the best, all of you..
