Part 8 - Flying Luna for the first time and new discovery-

Luna flips and does some tricks.
- WOHOO! I scream and laugh. Luna slows down and glides with the water. I see thunderdrums and smile. - They look so peaceful. I say and Luna looks up at me.
"They do, they aren't afraid of being killed, since they don't raid vikings." - Why don't they?
"I'm not sure, I don't think they like to fight, like the rest of us." - But, you fight..
"We protect ourselves, we do what we need to." - You're right.. everyone protects their own...

We fly for about half an hour before I see a island. - Have you seen that island before? I ask her. "No, check it out?" I nod and she speeds up and lands. I jump off and look around. Luna starts to growl and I take my sword out and light it. I hear whimper and a person comes out. - Don't hurt me please.. a boy says and I put my sword down, still holding it but now it's not on fire.

- Who are you? I ask carefully. He comes a little closer but stops when he is some meters away. - I'm..Elijah..
- Hey Elijah, I'm Avira and this is my dragon Luna, what are you doing here alone? I take my hand out and he smiles and shakes it.
- I was out adventuring with my dragon, a triple strike named Striker, but he got spooked and flew away and I got stuck here..

- Are you an adventurer? He laughs.
- A little yes, I love to see new islands and dragons. - Me too, I have it after my father, he was on many adventures before I got born, after that he settled down.. - If you don't mind me asking, who is your father? - Hiccup Horrendous Haddock.. he got big eyes.
- The Hiccup?
- Yeah.. - What's wrong? - I'm not sure if it's right to call him my father anymore tho..
- Why not? I shake my head. - I don't want to bother you with my problems, I want to know more about you. - You are a kind person, aren't you?

I laugh. - I don't know if that's the right word to describe me, I am really stubborn and don't like to be spoken to. - It's stubborn girls that are the best ya know. - Is that so? I ask and smile when he nods. I look at him and take in his face. Brown hair and blue eyes, I see that he has a scar that goes over his eye.

- Something wrong? I shake my head.
- Everything is good, but uh..do you need help to find your dragon? - Do you think you can help? - Of course, Luna wouldn't mind helping anyone out. - Well, if you think that is okay so. I jump on Luna and wait until he is on.
- I haven't flown a night fury in my life.
- Well, she isn't a night fury, she is a light fury. - My bad. He answer me and I laugh.
- Hold on. I say before she takes of. I feel him hold around me tightly before we starts gliding and he holds around me more carefully.

- Do you have any ideas where he could've gone to? - Maybe he flew back to our village.. it's an hour away from here. - Then we can go and check there if that's okay. - Of course, I do everything for my dragon. - Point the way. I say and he points to the south and Luna speeds up and the one hour trip was just a 45 minutes trip. - Wow, she really is something else. I smile and nod. I jump off and take in my surroundings.

Why does this place look so oddly familiar? I shrug the thought off.
- Come on, we have to check if he is here. Elijah says and I walk after him with Luna beside.
I see the village come to sight. - It's a gorgeous place. I say. - I know right, all of us are in peace with dragons, all thanks to your father.
- He has helped many to get in peace.. I say and he nods. - Wait, were you born while it was war with dragons?

- No, it was peace. He answers and I nod.
- How old are you even? - I'm 20, you?
- 17. - I thought you were older, and you live alone?? - I ran away when I was like 12.. he looks at me shocked.
- What!? - I didn't run away alone, I had my dragons. - I can't believe that you ran off when you were that young. - Well, you do dumb stuff when you're young, but I don't regret it. He nods slowly, letting it go.

I get surrounded by the whole village and everyone has weapons pointing at me.
- She has a light fury! I hear someone whisper.
- That's the girl everyone is talking about, but that's not the dragons everyone has talked about her having. - Something is off with her. I hear and hiss. I draw my sword and light it. Everyone backs away from me.
- What is going on here! I hear a strong voice and a man comes in to the ring.

Luna puts her tail around me. - Elijah, who is this? The man asks and Elijah walks to him.
- My new friend, Avira saved me from a island when Striker got spooked and flew away, she helped me home again to see if he was here by any chance, she is friendly. - You helped my son? I smile a little. - I was coming to check out a island and my dragon heard something and it was him. - But the dragon, did he come here? I ask. - Ah, yes Striker is here, he is at the stables.

Elijah nods. - Don't go anywhere, I'm just going to get him. I nod and he runs off somewhere. I look at the man. - You are the chief, aren't you? - I am lass, and that was my son as you surely know by now. I nod. - Avira.. - Do you have a second name? I take a deep breath.
- Avira Haddock.. everyone gasps. - Hiccup Haddock's daughter? He asks surprised.
- Well..yes.. I smile weakly. - You have to thank him from us, he helped us so much with the dragons.

- I uh.. I'm going to do that.. he claps his hands before looking at Luna. - We have heard much about you and your dragons, but never that one. - She is um.. a new family member, she came today and I still need to get to know her better. - If you need somewhere to stay for a little while, know that you are welcome here, I think my son is really taking a liking to you. I blush and laugh nervously. - I think he just is happy that someone saved him.
- Well, you are special. - I don't think so, my father is but not me.

- Well, my son doesn't fall for someone not special. He winks before shooing everyone away. I see a girl still standing there, looking at me with mysterious eyes. I shrug it off and pat Luna. - Do you think you can call for Thunder and Snow by any chance? "I can try." she roars loudly and everyone near has to hold for their ears.

I hear some roars back and smile.
"They're on the way." - Great, we just have to wait for them. I jump on her and we fly around the island.

"Something wrong?" - This island just looks so familiar.. "You mean that you have seen it before?" - I think so, but I can't remember why or when... "You may have flown by it in some of your adventures." - Yeah, you're right..

- EVERYONE GET READY TO SHOOT THEM DOWN! I hear someone yell from another island and I see Snow and Thunder. Luna roars to them and they fly up to the sky before diving to me. - They never learn. I have them shoot plasma blasts on the unfriendly island before landing on Elijah's island.

- That was some impressive powers. Elijah comments and I smile. I look at his dragon and put my hand near his nose and he rest it on it and I smile.
