Part 41 - Half a heart -

I growl loudly and watch the trees on fire.
- We need to get rid off the flames! I yell over all the roars from the stressed dragons. Luna hisses when she sees the same titan wing monstrous nightmare that we fought weeks ago. - Of course it's him. I say and roll my eyes.
He notices us and roars out loudly, then he starts to chase us. - We need to lose him, fast! She flies up to the clouds and we wait to see if he followed us up.

"Did he not follow us up?" - He is heavy, maybe he didn't bother. I answer before I hear something behind us. Luna snorts and takes charge, speeding through the clouds, hiding in a small cave that's located in some random island. "Hope to god he doesn't fit in here." She says with low voice. I jump off and we walk further into the cave. - Hopefully, otherwise we will have a big problem. We hit dead end and I take a thick stick and she lights it up so I can see without my dragon vision. I look at the carvings on the wall and lift an eyebrow.
- I wonder how long this has been here. I brush away some sand dust and start to sneeze.

"You good?" Luna asks me when I'm done and I laugh. - Yeah, I'm fine. I answer and sit down. - What are we going to do? We can't go battling that titan wing, not alone. I sigh and close my eyes. "Can you not talk to him about it?"
- Titan wings won't listen to me, they are way to stubborn and think they own the world. "You never know before you've tried."
- I guess you have a point, I do want to help the dragons..
She smiles at me and I stand up again.
- Come on then, we have a dragon to talk with.

We walk out off the cave and I take a deep breath when I see him fly around on fire.
Luna roars out and he stops to look at us, I can see that he is angry. He flies over to us faster than I've ever seen a monstrous nightmare manage. - I don't want to hurt you! I yell out before he hits me, making him hard stop. He snorts out and I see his fire go weaker.
- I just want to talk.. I whisper, trying my best to not anger him. "I don't want to listen to you, human child." He spits out angrily.
- I understand that, but please stop destroying nesting grounds, other dragons need them.. I look him in the eyes.

"You can't demand me to stop, you're only a puny little girl." He flaps his wings harshly, making wind push me back. I hiss and stand up again. - I'm Avira Haddock, the one who can make you vanish into nothing if I want to! I yell, starting to get fed up with him. He roars loudly at me. "You dare threaten me!? I'll show you!" Luna looks angrily at the male and shoots him. "Don't you dare kill her, you will regret it! Now you better listen to her and leave this part of the archipelago!" He looks at my dragon, she's now glowing pink and he puts his ears down before flying off. - Fucking hell Lu.. why couldn't I get through him?! I ask angrily and kick rocks off the island.

"Hey, you said it yourself, titan wings are stubborn and don't listen to you.."
- I hoped I was wrong. I say and jump up on her back. - We'll go check the island, we need to make sure the fire is gone, or if we can do something..
I see the flames spread around the trees and groan. Luna calls out loudly for the water dragons. We stay there for an hour to make sure everything is gone and that there's no danger.

I fall flat on the ground when we get back to Berk. Sera sees that and runs fast over to us.
- Avi! She kneels and shakes me, making me groan and sit up. She hugs me tightly and kisses me on the forehead. - I'm fine, just dizzy. I say reassuringly and she looks at me with small eyes. - Maybe you should get that checked out? She asks and I shake my head.
- No, there's nothing to worry about. I stand up with her help, almost fainting if it wasn't for her holding around me. "We better get to Gothi with you, before u actually faint."
- No! I'm fine! I say and look at Luna.
"You're not fine! This can be dangerous!"

I hiss and shake my head. - We will go and get you checked out, I don't care what you're saying, you're way to stubborn for me to argue with right now. Sera says and manages to somehow get me up on Luna and we fly up to Gothi.
She knocks on the door and she comes out.

- You three? What's wrong? She asks and Sera sighs. - Avi got dizzy and almost fainted when she got back, do you have time to check her?
- Well of course I have time, come on in and lay down on the table Avira. I roll my eyes when she commands me to do it, but I follow it anyways. (Author here! I wanted to ask everyone of you if you could guess what's wrong with her? A clue: the name of the chapter;) Author out!)

She opens up my mouth and checks it.
- When did you break a tooth? She asks me curiously. - Two years ago, had a accident on the ice.. I answer her, a little shocked to hear her speak. She nods and looks at my eyes.
- You're getting heterochromia eyes, that's rare. My eyes widen.
- Am I!? I ask shocked and she nods.
- Come and look Sera. She calls out and she comes to look. - True, they're becoming gray, at least the right one. - How is that possible? I ask, confused on what's going on. - Hm, I actually don't know, I've never seen anything like this, you should only have blue eyes, but maybe it's because you're half dragon?

- I.. that doesn't make sense.. - Not everything needs to make sense, but now we gotta continue on to find out what's wrong with you.
She listens to my heart, tapping with its rhythm. I see her stop for five seconds before tapping again. - 60. Sera says and she stops and straighten herself. - Your heart.. it's going either too slow or too fast. I nod a little, not understanding how that's possible.
- Sera, can you write down everything on a paper? Sera nods and gets paper and chalk.

- Why is it doing that? I ask, trying to listen and feel my heartbeat. - That's what I'm worried about. I look down on the ground.
- Am I going to die? I ask and rub my eyes, trying not to let tears fall.
- We are not letting you die, not now. She answers me and lifts my chin up so I look at her. - We just need to figure out why it's acting like that, it felt like it was trying to keep up with something else. She pushes me down, laying her ear against my heart. She does the same thing again, now it's more normal, still faster sometimes.

- Do you know your soul dragon yet? I shake my head at the question. - Is that the reason it's acting like that? - It could be, or that your heart has problems pumping enough blood and keep a steady rhythm. - Any ways to help it?
- Don't stress around, eat and drink is what I can say right now, if it doesn't help, come up here again. - Not stress? That's going to be a challenge. I say and chuckle a little. - I'm taking u straight home, no walking around the village for today. - Sera! I say, pouting.
- I personally think she should be allowed to Sera, not letting her do that might stress her more. Gothi says and Sera sighs. - Fine.

I stand up. - Thanks Gothi! I call out and go out, letting out a breath. "What did she say?" Luna asks when I go to her.
- My heart is going way to fast, or too slow.. "What!? What are you going to do?"
- Nothing.. we don't know why it's acting like that, maybe because I haven't found out my soul dragon, and it's trying to keep up with it, but it's difficult for it..
"But how do you know what your soul dragon is?" I shrug and jump on her and we fly down to the house and I feed the dragons. Snow nudges me carefully and I smile.
- You good? I ask and she nods.
"Yeah, how bout u? Your heart acting up??"

- It feels pretty normal, but yeah, other than that I'm fine. She nods and licks off blood on my fingers, since I was so good at cutting a little bit of skin off.
It becomes a small scar and I thank her.
- I'm restless, come on. I say and run out with her after me. She jumps at me and playfully bites me, with her teeth's up so she doesn't hurt me.
