Part 42 - I am the best, and I'll show you -

Me and Snow run through the forest and to the cove. I hard stop and look around the place.
- I swear I heard something from here. Snow nods. "I did too, but what was it?" She walks around so she can find any smells. I see a ripped cloth and lift an eyebrow.
- Snow! I yell and she comes flying.
"It smells of a person."
- A stranger? I ask and she nods. "No one from here." - Could it be Drotni or Fro's?
"I doubt that, they did not have this strong scent.."

I sigh and look for footprints, but the wind has taken them all. - If there wasn't any wind we could've found them. I kneel down when I see burnt trees. - They have a dragon. I say, standing up again. I remember that we have nadders around and smirk. - We'll find them, we need a nadder! Snow nods and I do a nadder cry.

I see a purple one land and she bows.
- Thanks for answering the call, think you can find a person with this? I ask, showing the piece of cloth. "I can try, it's starting to fade."
I nod and jump on Snow and we follow her.

We land on an island fifteen minutes later and I jump off. - Thank you so much, you can go back. The nadder flies off and we walk further into the island. - So pretty! I say, seeing winter flowers blooming and pick up one. - Did you know that these are my favorite flowers? I ask and Snow shakes her head. I sit down on a fallen tree. - These only blossom when it's cold, and then they die when it gets warmer and the snow leaves, so you can find them a lot, but they've become a little bit more rarer to find, and that's sad.. I put my forehead on the flower before planting it down to the ground again.

- We give, we take.. I whisper before continuing to walk. "Why do they only blossom in the winter?" - They're made like that, they're weak when it's warm, strong when cold. I pat Snow and stop up so I can listen without hearing the snow under us. I hear talking further away and walk towards the noises and hide behind the tree, while Snow goes invisible.

~ stranger pov ~
- I'm sorry father.. I didn't find her.. I say and my father sighs. - It's fine, you'll find her soon enough, as long as we have time. He looks at the dragon beside him, my dragon, almost dead.. - We have to find her fast, but she wasn't where rumors said.. - Berk is big, did you search in the village? My father asks and I shake my head. - I didn't, but the chief would of taken me hostage, I bet! I answer and pace around.

- Calm down, we have to tomorrow night hopefully, go back and we will meet here again, you can do it. - Fine.. see you.. I jump up on the monstrous nightmare and fly up.

~ Avira ~
I lift my eyebrow and jump on Snow and we fly back home, keeping an eye out for the person. "You two look like you're waiting for something." I look behind me and smile when I see Thunder and Luna. - Yeah, I guess we are. I answer, before seeing them. Thunder growls a little when they land. I lean towards him and he calms down. The person jumps off and takes down their hood. - H-hi, are y-you perhaps A-Avira Haddock? They ask and I nod, standing straight again.

- I am, who are you young one? I tilt my head.
- Masy, I'm from the Heron tribe.. I nod, never seen anyone from that tribe, but heard a lot of good things about them.
- So, what is it you seek? - My dragon, he is dying and I need you to help me, if you can of course.. I look towards Snow and Luna and they nod. - We can, but it depends on one thing, what happened to him? - Got shot down when he was flying, even with a saddle on, and the new rules have stated that no one is allowed to shoot a dragon with saddle..

- I see, is it long ago? - Found him three hours ago, and I've been trying everything to help him.. - Well, we have to get going then probably, before it's too late. He nods and we fly off to the island, both Luna and Snow heals him up pretty fast and I give them some leftover fish as a treat. The dragon wakes up and looks at Snow and snarls, Snow hisses back, agitating the male, making him pounce on her so she falls on her back. Snow stays down for a good three seconds before shooting him off, luckily not hurting him badly.

- Snow, sit! I call and she lays her ears down and goes behind me, I can hear her getting scolded by Luna. - I'm sorry, I don't know what came over him.. Masy says and I shake my head. - Some dragons don't go well with each other at the beginning, but I'm happy he is healed now. I smile and they nod. - Thank you so much for helping, I'm not gonna make you stay longer. They bow and I laugh and wave.
- Be careful out there! I call out and we fly up.

- What the hell was that Snow!? I ask her and she snorts, not answering. - You know I don't like that you ignore me, I'm just disappointed in you, not angry that you defended yourself.
I can see her roll her eyes and I sigh.
- Lu? What's that? I ask and she looks at the ship. "I don't know, looks very small, maybe just someone fishing." - Can you go check? She nods and dives down, close to the water, while being able to see what they're doing.

She comes back up and nods. "Fishermen, didn't look like they had any weapons."
- Good, we'll go home then. Snow snorts and I roll my eyes. - Do I have to cage you until you're done with this attitude? I ask, knowing that I won't get a answer.

We land back home and Snow goes into the house and Sera watches her confused.
- She's pissed? She asks and I groan and hold her small figure.
- Yep, spot on. - Why? That's unlike her!
- Yea, but also no, a dragon we saved didn't like her and she hissed back at him, agitating him and making him pounce on her, she blasted him off and got scolded, so now she's throwing a tantrum. - Welp, that's surprising, how long will she throw a tantrum for? "Longest have been three days, she will do stuff with us, but just with a attitude bigger than Avira's, and be stubborn as heck." Thunder answers and Sera chuckles. - Fun, wonder how long this one will be.

"Funny thing is that she will take it out on Avira more than me or mom, but mom has neither been here when she's been like this so I don't know who she'll take it out on now."
- I can say for sure that'll be me, she didn't want to answer me at all when I asked her why all of it happened. "I'll talk with her, don't worry about it." Thunder says and runs into the house. I flinch when I hear loud roars inside. "I'M BETTER THAN HER, YOU ALL JUST DON'T SEE THAT!" I hear and get big eyes. - Wha- I ask shocked. - Think they're okay? Sera asks and puts her head on the side my heart is. - He has his ways with her, so I think so, but I'm just wondering what that yelling was about? I look over at Luna.

"She's jealous of Mom's powers.. she wants you to see that she is also powerful." Thunder says when he is out and I groan and run in and hug her tightly, making her flinch.
- If you think that I don't see that you're powerful, you're blind af.. I whisper into her scales. She snorts a little. - The thing is that I know you are, and that's the reason I get annoyed when you do stuff like that, you can kill so easily.. I pull away to look at her.
- You don't need to throw tantrums just because of that, I want the best for you and it's not always easy to keep up with everything, no need to try to show off, I've known you since you were only months old.

She sighs and nods. "I'm sorry.. I got angry at the dragon.." - Yeah, about that, what the heck? "You saw what he did!" - You had to make him more angry? I didn't see a reason to! I say, shaking my head. "I get my temper from being with you for so long." She says, I know she's joking around and hit her. - Don't do that if we ever see them again. She rolls her eyes but nods weakly.
