Part 25 - Decisions and surprises -

We land back home and I jump off Thunder,  not looking where I land, resulting in me falling down on the snow. I groan loudly and stand up again. "You alright? You always land on your feet." Thunder says and I roll my eyes.
- I was in my own head, I'm good.. I say and walk into the house and take the dragon eye and it lights up. - It's not a bewilder-beast who is going to end the dragons species.. it's a human.. I take in a sharp breath and let it out shakily. They look at me worried. - Me.. I'm going to be the reason you guys are going extinct if I don't return to Berk.. I understand what's written now more than before..she didn't tell us everything.

"What do you mean? Is there more to it?" Snow asks and I nod. - It's not only Berk that is going down if I don't return, dragons too, unless I do something about it.. "You really have to return.. after so long.." Snow says and I nod before running to my bedroom and on the bed, letting all my tears down. I hit the pillow while cursing out loud. "You don't have to return right now, didn't the bewilder-beast say that you have at least three years?" Thunder asks, I flinch since I didn't hear him come in. - Yes, but.. what if she's mistaken and I have to go back now? I look at him with teary eyes, something he is not used to and doesn't know how to comfort me. "The village was fine when we were there last time."

- A lot can happen Thun.. he comes closer to me and growls softly. "I know that I'm not a big help, since I don't want to go back there, but I know that you don't want to be the reason for your family and friends to go under." I nod weakly. - We don't need to be there all the time.. we just have to go back there.. I know that I've threatened my sister and father, but I still don't want them to go under like this.. he nods weakly. "We'll return there whenever you're ready." he says and licks me before going out. I sigh and lay back down, thinking about what I should do.

"Eh.. Avira, you should come here!" Luna yells after twenty minutes of me just looking at the roof. I lift an eyebrow and walk out to see what's happening. I get big eyes when I see the egg move around the nest. - It's hatching? I ask shocked and Luna nods. - Where is S and T? I ask her. "Looking for food, they might be gone for a while, it's hard to find anything here now when it's full of snow." I sigh and sit down to observe the egg's movement. - When do you think it's going to crack? "That's impossible to say for sure, now or in some hours."
- Well, it'll be fun to see if it'll be a male or female.. "Thunder wants a male, but do we really need another one?" I chuckle.
- You're saying that it's enough with one? I ask. "Yes, he is enough." I pat her gently. - We just have to wait and see, I'm just happy if it's healthy. She agrees.

Two hours later
I hear someone land and see the two dragons come inside. - Found anything? I ask and they nod and put the foods down on the table.
- Good, hopefully it'll like some of it..
"It hasn't hatched yet?" Snow asks and I shake my head. - It has been moving a lot, but it has stopped now.. "I wonder if it's cold and that's why it doesn't hatch." Snow says and I lift an eyebrow. - Could that be Luna? I ask.
"That could be a possibility.." Thunder comes to us with a blanket. I put it over the egg.

I manage to fall asleep on the chair, probably tired because I cried. I wake up with a shock like half an hour later. I look around confused. "Did you sleep well?" Thunder asks and I groan. - Not the best, but not the worst either.. I answer before hearing cracking noises. I get huge eyes and stare at the blanket that is covering the egg. Ten minutes later we can see something move around in the blanket while making noises. I walk closer to it and take the blanket off, revealing a little dragon. I chuckle softly and sit down. It comes to me.
- It's a male. I say and smile. - Hey little one, you finally decided to come out? He looks at me with big eyes. "What should we name it?" Snow asks and the baby looks at her and jumps off me and makes his way to her.
