Part 17 - More of the torture and seeing an old friend -

(Trigger warning, talk about death!)
I get locked inside again and I kick the cell's wall, I get angry looks from the other women and I feel myself getting small. - I understand that it's upsetting to not being able to be free, but you're going to make it worse by being loud. The girl next to me says and I hiss but sit down against the wall. - I never got your name? I say. - Sera.. she answers and I nod.
- Avira.. I say. - I think we all know.. she speaks weakly.

- What did you actually do to get into this mess? I ask, unsure if it is a good idea to ask.
- Apparently I walked on their place, I was just flying with my dragon and didn't think I would end up here.. - You had a dragon?
I look at her. - Yeah, a razorwhip named Windy.
- What happened to her? - I don't know.. I only remember everything going black, I haven't seen her since.. - Oh.. I say. - But anyways, how are your dragons? - Both are alive, injured but yeah..

- You want to get out, don't you?
- Of course I want, I'm not a person who likes to be locked inside in a cell. I say annoyed.
- We all want to get away.. she stands up and walks over to the wall ish that is keeping us away. - But there are people here that has gotten killed trying to get out, if they find out they'll kill you. I stand up and walk over to her and put my hand through and she puts her in mine.
- I'll do anything to get my dragons away to freedom again, they don't deserve this.

- No one does. Sera says and I nod. I hear screams and me and Sera cover up our ears.
- What the hell? I ask when the screams quit.
- Someone was either killed or tortured.. she answers and I get big eyes. - What?
- Wait, you really thought this is the worst they do here? It's called a torture place for a reason.. I look at her. - Have you been tortured? She nods and takes up her shirt, revealing a big bruise and some cuts.

- They did this just before you got caught. She says, voice harsh. - I'm so sorry.. I say and she shakes her head. - You shouldn't say sorry, the men that did this should.

3 weeks later
After weeks of torture I find the energy to try and get out, if not I fear me and the dragons are going to get killed.

I wake up and feel blood running from my head and I look to my right side and see Sera lay still, crying and shaking. - Sera.. I whisper and she flinches and sits up. I crawl to her and put my hand out for her to take. She smiles slightly and takes it. - I fear I won't have long.. she whispers and tears run down her cheeks.

- You're going to fine, please stay strong.. I say, keeping myself from crying. She coughs up blood and sighs. - I don't care what'll happen with me, get yourself and your dragons out. She gets out and gives me a small smile. - You'll stay alive, I'm not letting you die! I say, actually afraid that a person who I consider my friend is going to die.

- Everyone is going to die Avi, some might die sooner than wanting to.. her voice is weak and cracks sometimes. - But, it's not fair! I hiss and she sighs. - I know girl, but don't think about me, get yourself to safety. She says and tightens her grip on me. - I don't want to loose one of my only friends.. I feel tears down my cheeks. - I know, I don't want to leave you either, but you need to get out of here, I don't want you or your dragons to die because of stuff that's not fair. She says and puts her hand on my cheek and I lean on her hand and close my eyes.

I take her hand and kiss it lightly. She blushes a little. - Please stay with me.. I whisper.
- I'll stay with you in your heart.. she says and I nod softly. She moves a little and manages to sit up. I see her wound and my eyes go cold.
- I can't believe that they can do that to you. I say and she huffs. - You haven't had the best either. She says and looks at my bloody clothes.
