SPECIAL CHAPTER # 1
Anim na buwan na ang nakalilipas mula noong ikinasal sina Yana at Nicholas at noong namatay si Rebecca. Hindi pa rin maiaalis kay Yana ang pangungulila at lungkot dahil sa nangyari pero dahil pinili niyang magtiwala at kumapit sa Panginoon ay may kapanatagan at kagaanan ang kaniyang loob.
Kasalukuyang abala ngayon si Yana sa pagguhit ng mga design para sa collaboration project nila ni Athena. Finally, her college dream would come true, soon. Si Nicholas ang nag-encourage sa kaniya na i-pursue ang pangarap niya. Hindi pa siya pumayag noong una dahil ayaw niyang mawalan ng oras sa kaniyang asawa ngunit mapilit ito, bagay naman na hindi niya pinagsisihang sundin.
Co-designing a collection for Lourthens Clothing Line with the country's renowned fashion designer, Athena Louraine del Valle was a privilege for Yana. Mahaba ang timeline nila para doon kaya hindi nangyari ang kinatatakutan niya. Hindi siya naubusan ng oras para kay Nicholas kahit pa pinagsasabay niya ang pagde-design at ang trabaho niya sa Bacchus and Java Corp. Nagpalipat siya sa branch nila sa Maynila para malapit lang sa tahanan nilang mag-asawa.
Her marriage was going smoothly. Ang tanging problema niya na lang ay si River. Galit pa rin ito sa kaniya sa hindi niya malamang dahilan. Sa tuwing kakausapin niya ito ay iiwas ang huli, ngunit maayos naman ang pakikisama kay Nicholas. Sa kaniya lang talaga ito may problema.
"Are you done with sketching, my love?" Nicholas asked from the bathroom door.
Katatapos lang nitong maligo ngunit nakabihis naman na. He was almost ready for bed. Hinihintay na lang nito si Yana na matapos ang ginagawa.
Nakasampay sa balikat ng kaniyang asawa ang puting tuwalyang gamit nito sa pagtutuyo ng buhok. Yana found Nicholas adorable in the pair of pajamas he was wearing, the same color of the nightgown that she was also wearing.
"Maroon really suits you, mahal. Ang pogi mo lalo . . ."
It was true. Habang patagal nang patagal ay mas lalong gumaguwapo si Nicholas sa paningin ni Yana. His mere existence and breathing made her fall in love with him over, and over again.
Yana had the urge to pinch her husband's cheeks that was shy she had put her pencils and sketch pad aside. Tumayo siya mula dressing table kung saan siya kanina pa nakaupo at gumuguhit para lapitan ito.
"Yes, I'm done. You have all my attention now," Yana said as she cupped his face and pinched both of his cheeks. "Bakit napakaguwapo mo? It's really unfair. Kahit nakapantulog, guwapo ka pa rin."
Nicholas chuckled and snaked his free arm around her waist.
"You're beautiful, too. You look happier now and we all see your glow."
"Yes, I am happier now. Thanks to you and the Lord. The both of you make my heart swell in too much joy."
Yana comfortably settled her head against Nicholas' chest as she hugged her. It was a long day for them at work, but they survived. The latter hugged her back.
"You and the Lord make me happy, too. Waking up next to you feels like a dream. You're an answered prayer and I'm happy of the woman you've become. You've changed a lot since that night in the ball. You've become stronger, wiser, and more patient and understanding lalo na kay River."
Tiningala ni Yana si Nicholas.
"Well, River needs it. He's hurting so we must be more understanding and patient with him. I'm praying that a time will come that he will be warm with me. I have hope in Jesus."
Nicholas kissed her forehead.
"The Lord will answer your prayers at His right time."
Yana nodded her head in agreement. "Amen."
