29.12.2019, Laura

I hugged my parents and my older sister.

"Don't worry I 100% have everything and I have three of the people I trust most with me. I'll be fine" I assured my mum. She didn't say anything but I could see on her face just how worried she was.

She nodded then turned to Max.

"Promise me to keep them safe"

Max nodded.

"Of course. I wouldn't let anything happen to some of my favorite people" he looked at me as he said that. I blushed and smiled.

"Oh and one more thing. I need you to promise me-" we cut her off with eye rolls and sighs.

"Have fun" she smiled. We all smied back and joined a group hug.

The moment was ruined by our flight being announced. We said our final goodbyes and went towards the gate. We all showed the lady our tickets and got on the plane.

The anxiety started to hit me. I've only been on a plane once before and I got so scared I had to wear noise canceling headphones and a cover for my eyes. They put me on a seat where I barely felt anything. It took a while to calm me down but eventually I feel asleep.

The thing is then I was with my family. Now I'm here with my boyfriend, best friend and sister out of which only my sister knows about my plane anxiety.

We sat down. I was in the middle seat between my sister and my boyfriend. Kirsty was next to him. I got comfortable and put my headphones on. I closed my eyes and tensed up. Emily noticed and grabbed my hand. I looked at her and she have me a reassuring smile. I nodded and returned the smile.

I felt much better and I didn't start crying at every bit or turbulence. I got through the flight relatively fine.

We finally landed and I was ao happy to get off the plane. We got an uber to the hotel the convention provided for us and got set in our rooms. I shared mine with Max and Emily shared hers with Kirsty.

I realized Emily didn't invite anyone to come. I guess she figured us four would have enough fun on our own.

I put my bag down and threw myself onto the bed. Max joined and we both started at nothing for a while. He got up first and walked to my bag. He searched through it for a while then scrunched his nose.

"Do you not have any party outfits?"

I laughed. "Of course not you know I don't like to party"

He rolled his eyes playfully and went over to me.

"We're partying. This is your first convention, don't you wanna celebrate it?"

I immediately shook my head. "I'll have enough time to celebrate with fans from the first to the third"

He glared at me. He grabbed my arms and pulled me up. He lead me outside to Emilys room. He knocked on the door and almost immediately Kirsty opened.

"Oh hey!"

"Laura doesn't want to celebrate her first convention"

Kirsty rolled her eyes at me and pulled me inside. She told Emily and they sat me down in their bathroom.

"Don't move" Emily instructed and left the room with the other two. I turned around only to see them going through their clothes.

"Guys-"

"No, shush" Kirsty said before I could continue. I sighed and watched them pull out a black skirt with a yellow long sleeve shirt. I shook my head no.

"There is no way you're putting me in that"

They pushed Max out and before I knew it I was wearing the skirt, shirt and to top it off they even covered my face in more makeup than I've ever had on my face. I felt uncomfortable but at the same time I felt a lot less insecure.

I was looking at myself in the mirror smiling. Max entered the room. He stopped at the door.

"Wow"

I turned to him. He was smiling.

"You look even more perfect than usually" he said blankly. I blushed. The girls were quietly squealing.

"Okay enough of this we need to celebrate!"
