She's the one.

That kiss was so much more than any kiss I've ever had. I've never felt anything like that. It felt like the puzzles finnaly connected. Like the stars aligned. Like everything was now complete.

"Heyo- Oh shit sorry!" I moved away from Laura. I was probably red as a tomato. And Laura was as well. She moved a strand of hair behind her ear.

She looked at me and we bursted into laughter. The others stood at the door awkwardly. They walked over to the bed and sat down next to us. We all laughed together.

"Oh yeah I didn't even realize it's actually a new year" Laura said mid conversation. I laughed.

"Welcome to 2020 then" I said between laughs. She sighed. I gave her a confused look. She stood up and pulled me up with her. She lead me to the bathroom.

"I realized I was planning on having basically what we had but with Max and it made me a bit sad. Especially because of how it ended"

My heart ached. Would she have rather had this with him? I guess I should understand she's probably still in love with him.

I nodded. "I get it. But don't worry. He's in the past and you deserve better"

She smiled. I got lost in her eyes. They held a spark I haven't seen in a while. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer. She put hers around my neck and placed her lips onto mine. Just like the first time sparks flew everywhere. I felt complete.

She moved away. Her face held that smile I've loved since that tik tok I saw. She left the room leading me with her.

The others looked at us confused. We waved it off and we continued having fun until early in the morning.

I woke up in my own hotel room. I looked around hoping to see her. She was nowhere to be seen. For a second I got scared that it was all a dream. That was until I heard something in the bathroom. I walked over to it.

"Good morning" I said to Laura. She turned to me and burned her finger with her hair straightener. She whinced in pain. I walked closer to her and took her hand into mine. I kissed the finger she burned gently. She giggled and moved my chin up with her hand. She placed her lips onto mine again. I pulled her closer and pushed her against the wall.

I moved away to get some air. She smiled and moved back to the mirror to continue getting ready. I leaned against the wall and watched her as she carefully did her eyeliner.
