I spent a good few hours with Laura and with each second I fell for her more and more. I wasn't trying to flirt at all. I was more so trying to distract her from the heartbreak. I heard the doctors when they said she could have died if we didn't act as fast as we did and that hit me hard.

Visiting hours were over and I had to leave. She was allowed to have one person with her and she choose her sister, which is understandable. I gave her my number so she could text me whenever.

I sighed walking out of the hospital missing her the second I left. I looked up only to see him. Max if I remember correctly. He glared at me. I lifted my head up and walked towards him.

"Don't glare at me I should be the one glaring at you right now"

His eyes softened and he looked down ashamed.

"You almost killed her you know."

His head shot up.

"What? How?" he was genuinely worried. He did love her.

"The doctors said she could have died if we didn't act as quick as we did" I stopped for a second. "As I did"

"I don't understand how is that possible? She didn't hit her head or anything" he asked, confused. I was confused as well until I found out.

"You can die from heartbreak" I said not showing emotion but feeling so so many.

He looked down. It really hit him. What he's done to her. She was in love with him. I could tell. Mabye she still is.

"I'm so stupid. I hurt the only girl who has ever treated me right. Who has ever really loved me. I'm such a fuck up" he started tearing up.

"You did fuck up but it doesn't mean you are a fuck up yourself" I stated. I did mean it. I knew for a fact he did a lot of good for her. He was definitely a good boyfriend up until now. At least that's what I got from her talking about it.

"I wish I did things different" he sighed and took a cigarette out of his pocket.

"You smoke?" She never mentioned him smoking.

"Usually not. Just if I'm really nervous or stressed about something" he said while lighting it. I nodded.

"You want one?" he asked. I shook my head.

"No I'm good"

He nodded and looked around. "Did she ask about me?"

I shook my head. "I don't think she wamts to see you if I'm honest"

"I don't blame her" he blew the smoke out.

"Well I should go."

He nodded.

"Yeah I should leave as well. I don't actually have anything to do here"

"You going home?"

He shook his head. "Just to a different hotel. I don't have enough money for a plane ticket so I'll have to wait" he explained. I nodded.

"Well I'll really go now. Oh and don't bother calling my sister. She'll want to forget about this. She hs a girlfriend after all"

He nodded and stood up. He looked at me and said his goodbyes. I replied the same and went to my car.
