I only just started packing before my phone was already ringing, distracting me from doing that. I answered it, without looking at the called ID.

"Hello?" I ansewer, putting the call on speaker and continuing my work.

"Hey" I heard my mom say. I rolled my eyes.

"What's up?" I asked and grabbed my phone, now actually holding it to my ear.

"I just wanted to ask of you'd be interested in coming over for a few days this week"

"You make it sound like I'm buying something from you" I replied, annoyed at her weird plans.

"I already asked Gaonha and she said she'll come, but she told me I had to ask you separately" she continued, ignoring my comment completely.

"Well I can't. I'm going to Vidcon in Texas and staying over at a friends house for the week" I explained, waiting for her to start nagging and convincing me to come. I was already determined though and even if she used the family card I wouldn't budge.

"But we could all be together again. And Miss Jensen is coming with her kids as well, you could meet Brian and Greg. Have I told you how cute Brian is? And how successful he's been this year?" she started as if a boy would ever change my mind.

"I hate men. You could have figured that out by now" I explained, determined in my words more since the whole thing with Eric.

"I know I know. But still, I think you two would make a lovely couple"

I had enough of her bullshit as she said that. Trying to convince me to stay over was one thing but trying to set me up with a guy? That's a whole other thing. I hung up and carried on with my business.

Apparently she didn't get the message as she called again. I didn't bother to answer. Instead I declined and put my phone on airplane mode.

Gaonha came in, without me even noticing, soon after.

"Are you sure you don't want to go?" she asked as if she suddenly liked our parents and how homophobic they are.

"You're kidding right?" I asked, not turning away from my suitcase.

"I know but they're really trying. Well not really to understand your sexuality but definitely to make our family function" she explained, giving me a puppy dog look. I rolled my eyes.

"I made these plans before that. I'm not canceling on my best friend because my mom is trying to set me up with some dude who's probably not worth anyones time anyway"

Okay important question so please leave your opinions: smut or no?
I don't want to just publish it and then have everyone hate it so I'd rather just ask. If most of you say no and I decide I need it then I'll just say it happened, if most of you say yes then I'll actually write it. There will obviously be a warning if I do end up writing it by the way.
