Aren’t you the girl who easily cries?
Yes, you did slip in front of the whole class.
You studied hard just to pass
Sometimes things don’t go your way
But, you have to know,
Everything’s going to be okay
You don’t have to be ashamed
Just because you didn’t get a date for prom
It’s alright
Even if you have never held a pom-pom
You smile even though you know it hurts
You look away when you see your weight
You cry when no one showed up on your date
But you have to know it’s all okay
It’s all going to be okay
Even if dark clouds roll in
Rain drops to the ground
It isn’t as hard as it sounds
You’re going to be okay
You’re perfect in your own way
Everything’s going to be okay
Even if you cry yourself to sleep
Shed the tears you tried to keep
Don’t cry over a guy
So what?
You were rejected
